Duskpaw's Moonstone Journey

Duskpaw blinked,this much was true, he didn't know the tom before him even though he looked like him. Duskpaw was quiet giving a small nod though he was confused by how it was for the best he said nothing about that. Though he perked up a bit"Yeah I'm a pretty good hunter "He mewed lifting his head. He wasn't about to brag about being a great hunter but he sure he was a great hunter.

"I'm glad to hear it. Let me tell you a little trick about hunting on Sunningrocks. Always look for holes under larger rocks, you'll find that's where voles love to make little nests. Wait patiently until dusk and you'll catch yourself a feast. Stay safe this Leafbare, Duskpaw. I sense blood on the horizon." That was all he could say to him, StarClan was always cautious about giving too much away, after all, the future wasn't technically set in stone. The war ahead was only a possibility, though a very likely possibility. He gave the apprentice one fond lick before he faded away. He prayed that he wouldn't meet Duskpaw again for a long while yet.

Duskpaw blinked listening intently before he nodded accepting his advice. Though his brief words about blood on the horizon the apprentice seemed to tense. The dusky tom wanted to ask what he meant but everything faded away and he woke with a start rather surprised.

Jaystream turned his head back to his apprentice when he sensed his movement. He smiled at him as he stood up, ready to go. "Welcome back, Duskpaw. How did it go? Did they help you?" He purred, reaching the side of the dusky tom and noticing that he seemed surprised. It wasn't strange... after all, he literally visited the world of the dead ones and he had a word with them. That wasn't something easy to understand but it was like that. Starclan would always find the way to speak to them and guide them.
