Harekit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather underneath the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!" Ashstar yowled, jumping atop the large gray stone.

Harekit walked out of the nursery after he heard Ashstar call for an clan meeting, it beckon his curiosity on what it could be. 'Could it be time?' He thought as he walked over to an spot where he sat among his clan and listened closely to what their leader had to say.

Ashstar nodded approvingly at the young kit. "Harekit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Harepaw. Dewtuft will be your mentor. I hope he will pass down all he knows on to you."

The former kit's blue eyes gleamed with excitement and his tail stood up as he had finally got his apprenticeship. He stepped forward to his leader and bowed his head.

Dewtuft's chest puffed up with delight at hearing that he would be the mentor to the newest apprentice of WindClan, Harepaw. He was strong looking, and his blue eyes seemed to gleam with energy. A good match for him. He went over to touch noses with the apprentice, meowing. "I look forward to teaching you, be ready to work hard, Harepaw."

After he touched noses with his mentor he respond with an enthusiastic mew to his newly appointed mentor "I'll do my best to learn all that you can teach me, I'll use it to best serve our clan and Starclan!". The apprentice restrained some of his excitement and tried not to run in circles like the kit he formerly was, he couldn't wait for his days as an apprentice to begin.
