The Flight and the Fang

Cherryfang blind green eyes flicked back and forth as she reached the border between her clan and Skyclan. She tried to listen for the pawsteps and the familiar scent of Willowflight. She looked as if she had gained some weight but that wasn't the case at least not now. She was expecting kits and bone other then Willowflight,a skyclan warrior. She couldn't believe it but she had no choice but to. What had started out as a rivalry between the two of them had turned into something more. Even looking back She couldn't have thought they would have been mates and she expecting kits. She just hoped no one in her clan found out. It was crush the warrior heart if her clan deemed her relationship with the skyclan tom messed with her loyalties. It wouldn't and didn't but she couldn't help every time she was out in the territory she was looking for the Skyclan tom. As she sat at the border waiting her tortie tail curled over her swollen flank.

Willowflight padded out to Fallen Oak, needing to escape from the clan for a while. Though he was getting better at dealing with his clan-mates, today hadn't been a good day for dealing with those idiotic tree-huggers. Irritation crawled beneath his fur as he lugged on each patrol. Plus, as soon as he was made a warrior their leader suddenly handed him a little scrap of fur and told him to train it into something remarkable. How was he supposed to do that?! She was so nice and it made him feel like a major piece of fox-dung.

It didn't help that his father was so sick and that he hadn't seen Cherryfang in forever.

Shaking his head angrily, Willowflight stubbornly pushed away those thoughts and decided they weren't worth his time. Only one cat was worth it, his beautifully amazing arch-enemy Cherryfang that didn't give him mouse-dung just cause she could. Not that he'd ever call her the former though to her face. But anyways, Willowflight really, really needed a break from his clan to go see the most important cat in his life.

"Hey! Cherryfang!" He called out for her. Willowflight sniffed the air and smelled her at the usual place. A smirky smile grew on his face as he padded towards the border, face lighting up when he spotted her distinct pelt by their tree.

For a moment Cherryfang didn't know if he was going to show up. Though low and behold she heard him coming and then She heard his voice and she stood but a bit slower then usual. She moved forward a little bit til she was at the border"hey willowflight"she greeted with a small purr. A nervousness seemed to take hold of the expecting she cat as he came over to her.

Willowflight padded up to her, chest lighting up with warmth. It had been too long since he saw her. "Hey," he greeted this time with a glint of warmth in his voice. "Long time no see." The young warrior noticed the weight she put on. What happened to it being leaf-bare? He narrowed his eyes. "You look like it's green-leaf. What's your clan up to?"

Cherryfang smiled some softly if for a moment as he greeted her warmly.  She noticed his eyes narrow and she was quiet for a moment"my clan is doing fine but that not why I'm here....i ..have some news"She mewed. Her tail flicked nervously for a moment as she paused before deciding to just say it"I'm expecting kits."She mewed and it was obvious by her statement that they were his.
