Vixenpaw's Moonstone Trip

Vixenpaw began to panic. "Wait, don't go! I have so many questions..." Too late. Willowpetal was fading fast, and it was all Vixenpaw could do to nuzzle her goodbye. "Goodbye Willowpetal." She whispered into her mother's shimmering fur. Then, just as her mother had faded, the starry world around her began to fade also.

Vixenpaw's eyes shot open. She had met Willowpetal. Her eyes widened more at the thought that she would become a warrior very soon. She rose shakily to her legs. "Jaystream?" She called out.

The warrior opened his eyes when he heard the voice of his apprentice. He approached her and noticed that she was still recovering from her chat with Starclan. "Welcome back, Vixenpaw.I hope Starclan has given you the advice you needed before becoming a warrior." With a proud and fatherly smile, he touched her forehead gently with one paw. It had been a while since he last saw one of his apprentices turning themselves into warriors. He remembered Ashfeather for a second... his first apprentice. She had the bad luck to die just a few days later after her ceremony... he hoped that Vixenpaw wouldn't end the same way.

"I'm so proud of you, Vixenpaw. You have completed your training and now is your time to join the clan as a warrior. Even if I will no longer be there as your mentor... I hope we can be friends and spend time together. I was a pleasure to me to train you." He said before turning his body back to the exit of the cave. Jaystream looked from the corner of his green eyes at the gingery she-cat. "Let's go home now, Vixenpaw. Riverclan is waiting for your return." The deputy started to walk away from the Moonstone, feeling happy for his apprentice and how great it ended his first time guiding an apprentice to the Moonstone. The tom couldn't wait to see Vixenpaw's ceremony.

Vixenpaw smiled happily at her mentor. Now that she had spoken with StarClan, she was strangely at peace. She followed Jaystream and pressed her head into his fur. "Thank you so much,
Jaystream." she whispered.
