Heatherpaw's Moonstone Journey

Heatherpaw slowly blinked open her eyes once StarClan's territory disappeared, finding herself nestled next to the Moonstone once again in the cold cavernous air. However, the warmth of her happiness canceled out the chilliness that seeped through her fur.

She had dreamt with StarClan. The beautiful she-cat Flowerpetal gave her great wisdom that she would be able to take to heart and adapt in her life. She had proved herself worthy in the eyes of StarClan. She was finally assured that she had also proven herself to Reedheart, Blizzardstar, and all of ThunderClan.

Now all she had to do was finish proving herself worthy to herself.

Heatherpaw rose to her paws, her legs stiff from laying in the same position all night. She stretched them out, then searched for her adopted father within the cave as the large majestic crystal in the center of the room began to resort back to darkness.

Leopardclaw had dozed off for a short time, but awoke a little while before Heatherpaw regained consciousness.  He had gazed around at the cave, the shining crystal, the hole in the roof that was beginning to filter in dim sunlight.  He was always amazed by this beautiful place...  At the sight of his daughter's body finally stirring, he smiled and rose to his paws.  From the look in her eyes, the encounter seemed to have went well.  Simply nodding, the golden tom-cat purred; "When you're ready, we should return home."

Heatherpaw shifted her gaze back up through the hole in the cavern, the StarClan warriors beginning to disappear one by one in the sky. She noticed one star linger a little longer than the rest, and she wondered if that was Flowerpetal.

She would always be grateful to the warrior residing in the sky, and she vowed to make her and her StarClan Clanmates proud for many moons to come.

She shifted her gaze back to Leopardclaw, seeming to stand taller, filled with pride and determination. "I'm ready to return home."

With a smile, Leopardclaw turned around and began to lead the way back up the tunnel, and out of the cave. To his great joy, something about Heatherpaw seemed different; she stood taller, reflecting confidence and pride instead of the insecurity and fear she seemed to have been haunted by before. Thank you StarClan...you always know just what to say. With one last glance back at the pale ginger she-cat, they once again entered the darkness of the tunnels.

(OOC: Well, since Heatherpaw has met all requirements to become a warrior -- except for being an apprentice for a month, but she has four days left to go -- would you like to develop on their relationship on the way back home, perhaps in a new topic or something? That is, of course, if you want to, but if you don't that's fine, too.)
