Shade of the Maple Trees Love(closed for kits and medicine cat for now)

Mapleshade hadn't much expected to be expecting kits. But it also happened to be Batfamg's that made her nervous. When she had been forced to stay in the nursery when the clan found out she had to say that her mate had been a tom ironically that had recently passed away in the clan. She felt bad for doing so but she felt she didn't have a choice. She didn't expect to be expecting but here she was. She knew it was a matter of hours noe that she would give birth to the kits. At even the slightest coincidence she felt a sharp pain and let out a yowl as she called for the Medicine Cat. The pain seared through her tortie and white body.

A small, dark brown shape appeared at his mother's side, blind, deaf and unable to see or hear the pain his mother was in while she frantically called for the Medicine Cat.

Mapleshade felt her body contract as she felt the pain. She hoped the Medicine Cat would come soon as she pushed she felt the kit soon slid out and she bent quickly trying to clean the squirming kit(this will be you kit tigerlily since you have already posted :) )

Timeskip

Soon enough Mapleshade laid with six kits.

The small kit mewled in protest as he felt his mother's tounge on his pelt.

Mapleshade purred softly as she looked at the little fluffy bundles at her side. She looked to them as she thought of names"Blizzardkit will be your name"She purred softly nuzzling the small brown kit before she went on"Lilackit and Darkkit"She purred taking not of how Darkkit almost reminded her of Batfang. She licked both she kits on the head before moving on to the other 3 kits. She nuzzled the Sandy colored tom kit and mewed"Sandkit will be your name little one and Patherkit will be yours"She purred as she moved onto the next tom kit. All that was left was one last tom kit and she paused thinking of a name for him.She licked the last dark tom on the head as a name came to mind"yewkit."

At the sound of his name being mewed and a tongue roughly mussing up the soft fur atop his head, the newly-named Yewkit let out a shrill cry of complaint and he wriggled onto his side. His short, stubby little limbs stretched out awkwardly as he continued to wriggle and move.

The newly named Sandkit wiggled about in the pile of kits that were his many siblings, a steady purr pulsating through his body as he was cleaned off by his mother, and nestled into her warm fur. With limited hearing he sensed the unhappy cries of one of his brothers, and crawled forward to press his body against Yewkit's with a soft mewl.

Rabbitfoot had heard the cries of the queen. She had been expecting the kits any day now, but of course, they had to come when the medicine cat was caught up in the middle of something. So instead of being able to rush to Mapleshade's side, she fumbled around on herself as she tried to dart out of her den, tripping up and completely embarrassing herself to the couple of cats that were waiting for help inside. Soon, however, she was there, looking down at several healthy kits and one very tired mother. "I.. I am so sorry Mapleshade. I-I got caught up and... I couldn't... I'm sorry..." The she-cat sighed for a second to try to calm herself. "They all look very healthy, though! I bet they'll... They'll grow to be big and strong!" she purred, trying to cover up her embarrassment.

The strong and little newborn meowed after his mother gave him his name. Padding clumsily between his brothers and sister, Pantherkit approached he warm belly of the tortie she-cat, following the scent of milk. Once he had settled down there, he stayed calm, enjoying the presence of his family as he put his tiny paws and head on Mapleshade’s fur.

Buzzardkit mewled as he felt his siblings squirming around him. Hungry, he dragged his tiny, bean-like body over to his mothers side, where he began to suckle.

"Its fine Rabbitfiot "She mewed trying to ease the Medicine cats nervousness. A small gentle smile played on the new mother's maw as she then looked down to her six healthy kits. She watched as they suckled before she gently licked each one on the head and relaxed and looked back to Rabbitfoot."and I'm sure they will. They will be great warriors when they are older"She purred.
