The wounded pride of an apprentice (HEALING TOPIC)

Silverpaw returned to the camp after her trip to the Fourtrees, growling from the deep of throat, frustrated because of her lose against that tribe cat called Echo of... whatever. She disliked everything about that she-cat and her origins... it was humiliating for her to be defeated for such a fox dung like her! The gray and white she-cat made her way to the medicine cat den, searching for Cloudstone or Icepaw to help her. Even if she just got a few scratches, she still needed to be healed.

Although she chaos had subsided, the looming threat of Leaffall and coming Leafbare weighed heavily on Cloudstone's mind as he took inventory for the thousandth time. There still wasn't enough. He had to go out again, but what if something like last Leaffall happened again? What would he do if all his herbs washed away again and he was left out to dry? He was so preoccupied with his thoughts that he only noticed Silverpaw's presence when her shadow fell across the ground in front of him. At the sight of her injuries an irritated thought crossed his mind to do with how warrior apprentices could always be counted on to do stupid things. Or something like that. Instead of showing it outwardly however, he resigned to bring a few cobwebs and a single dandelion over to patch some of the more superficial woulds.

"A tussle with..." There wasn't a scent he could put his paw on, but the size and shape of the claw marks indicated a young cat. "...another apprentice, I assume?" The one flower was more than enough, and once he'd applied it, half still remained.

Cloudstone used Heal on Silverpaw, healing 10 Health and using 15 Stamina.

The prideful apprentice growled frustrated the medicine cat asked if it was an apprentice who left her with those wounds. She looked away angrily, digging her claws in the ground of the medicine cat to contain her anger. "It doesn't matter." She spatted, hating herself for being so stupid to fail in such an easy battle.

Jaystream had been avoiding to enter the medicine cat since moons but his unhealed wounds were starting to bother him so he just decided to approach the den just to ask if Cloudstone or Icepaw weren't too busy to help. Shyly, the Riverclan warrior put a paw inside the den."Um...H-Hello? C-C-Cloudstone? Are you... here?" He asked, stepping inside the den just to see that the dark-furred tom was healing his half-niece, Silverpaw.

Cloudstone gave a low purr. "Well, remember you can always fight them again to settle things if you need to. As long as you bring some herbs back to for me to compensate!" His ears pricked at the sound of pawsteps across the threshold. The black tom briefly looked up to see who had entered. "Jaystream! I'll be with you in a moment." He finished applying some cobwebs along the minor scratches and moved back. "Now, come back to me tomorrow morning to let me see how you're healing. You may do as you wish, but no fishing in the meantime, unless you want to wash away the cobwebs." He flicked his white tail to let her know he was done.

Cloudstone used Heal on Silverpaw, healing 10 Health and using 15 Stamina.

The medicine cat approached the younger warrior, looking over his injuries. "What caused these, Jaystream?" The basic things he would need rattled off in his head, and it was nice to know that he could use the rest of the dandelion. It wouldn't go to waste.

The apprentice smiled with determination filling her odd eyes after what the medicine cat said. He was right... one day she would have her second round against Echopaw and she would surely win. "Haha... thank you, Cloudstone. And don't worry, I'll make sure to bring you some herbs after I deal with that she-cat." She said with a less grumpy voice. She noticed the arrival of one of her kin and then she listened to Cloudstone's instructions carefully. Nodding, she stood up and left the den after greeting the blue-gray tabby tom with just a nod and a flick of her ear.

The shy warrior laid down on a nest and waited patiently to the medicine cat to come. "H-Hi, Cloudstone." He said, letting him saw his injuries. "Some of them are just old injuries from the battle against Smokefang that never were healed and the others are from running behind a toad that escaped into a bush full of thorns." The young warrior answered, feeling a little more comfortable around the older tom. He was always there... helping the warrior whenever they needed and he respected his job as the medicine cat.

"That long ago?" He murmured, a concerned look flashing across his face as he turned towards his store. "That's risky, Jaystream. It could've gotten infected." The tom shook his head and picked out a few wisps of cobweb. The wounds were mainly shallow, if not already almost healed. Cloudstone lumbered back over and began investigating, applying cobweb and the rest of the marigold to the more recent cuts. "If any wounds - or begin to - smell strange, see me immediately."

Cloudstone used Heal on Jaystream, healing 10 Health and using 15 Stamina.

The tom blushed embarrassed because of his mistake. "I-I'm sorry. Next time I will come here immediately."As the medicine cat started healing his wounds he looked away waiting for him to finish his work properly. It wasn't so painful so he stayed still until Cloudstone talked once again at him. The young warrior nodded quickly. "I'll tell you as soon as I can if that happens, Cloudstone. Did you finish?" He asked curiously by the amazing speed of the tom for healing. Well, he shouldn't be too surprised. He had been the medicine cat for a long time, even before he was born. He was truly an experienced healer that always worked for the good of the clan.
