Hunting in the Dark

Smallbird had prepared special training for his very first apprentice Frostpaw. He waited the whole day doing other clan stuff so they would go on the special patrol with Frostpaw. Patrol in the Dark. Finally he went into apprentice's den where he mewed: "Frosfpaw, come! We have dark patrol to do." He looked around to other apprentices which were already preparing for sharing tongues and then sleeping. But they had not slept so much. Smallbird had let Frostpaw sleeping much longer and then sent him doing stuff for elders.

Frostpaw blinked quietly having rested breifly before whatever her mentor had planned for her. Once the sleep was out of her olive green eyes she looked to her mentor Smallbird"Alright sounds good"She mewed coming over. She had quiet a interesting day for it being her first. She had made friends with one of the apprentices Ravenpaw and had found a spot where moss would be easy to collect before she had enjoyed a walk with her friend. Now she would start her first patrol.

"Okay," mewed Smallbird turning to apprentice. "Let's do this." He began explaining trying to sound like Darkflight, his mentor and former leader of ThunderClan. "I choose the darkness, because some days there won't be enough of food to find and cats will need to hunt even when the forest will be dark. You will need to relay on your scent and your ears, eyesight will be damageble and not useful. So always keep my scent in your mind and never be to slow walking behind me. I will regulary check on you, okay?" Smallbird turned towards exit of the camp and leaded the way into the darkness, which was stronger as soons as they went away from the ThunderClan clearing, which was half lighted because of moon shining.
