Leopardheart yelled again. "Goldenstar?!"

Goldenstar padded out of her den. "Whaaaat?" She yawned.

eyes wide open, sunkit asked in a flurry of words, "hi! are you goldenstar?is this your den? are you the leader?
i wish i could be a leader! is it fun? is it easy? what else do you do as a leader? am i
bothering you?"

Goldenstar purred and looked at Leopardheart. "She's an inquisitive one, huh?" She then turned to Sunkit. "Well, let me just tell you this. It's not as easy as you think!"

"not easy?" asked the kit.
"how so?"

Leopardheart just grinned at GOldenstar. "Well Sunkit, she has many duties."

"oooooh, duties!" sunkit exclaimed with wide eyes.

Leopardheart grinned. "And she has nine lives."

"nine lives? wow! i wish i could have nine lives!"
