Rowantalon purred softly, yawning and stretching. His final kittens, a sweet red she-cat named Scarletkit and a smaller black she-cat named Cinderkit, were curled up beside him.
He sniffed them, still purring.
"Cinderkit, Scarletkit, wake up." He mewed softly. "Today you can go outside and meet your family."
The large tom slowly stood up, nudging the small kittens to their feet gently and attempting to put their messy fur in order, grooming one and then the other.

Cinderkit's eyes popped open from her nap. She yawned an stretched, flexing her small claws. She stood, a little wobbly, but sounded turned to face the big tom looming over her. "ok! Lets go!" she mewed excitedly, because she was excited!

Scarletkit opened her eyes soon after and immediately started bouncing around, super eager to leave and explore. Very interesting smells and scents were coming from outside the nursery, and she wanted to explore them all!
