Soot remained silent, heart racing as his paws lead him closer, and closer to the barrier; the forest. He gulped and lifted his muzzle to sniff the air. Now, he could smell prey. He couldn't help but smile as the smell of mouse rose above everything else. "Wait here," He meowed at Frost, dropping into a sloppy hunting crouch. He crept towards it, before lunging, leaping right over it. He let out a terrified yowl as he collided with the ground.

Frost blinked and nodded quietly before she stayed in the place she was told to her. Her bright eyes looking around as she waited quietly her fur bushing up nervously.
