You're Almost There [Orchidpaw's Assessment]

Blizzardstar took a deep breath before heading towards the apprentice’s den, she caught word from some of her clanmates that Orchidpaw was ready for her own assessment, but for some reason Spottedbear hadn’t been around to give it to her…odd, hopefully the warrior was just fine. However, she had waited long enough and didn’t want to delay this apprentice’s well deserved warrior ceremony if they proved to be ready.

“Orchidpaw?” The gentle leader’s voice could be heard all over the apprentice’s den, her ice blue eyes scanning the place carefully “Are you in here?”.

Orchidpaw had in fact been in the apprentices den. The silvery white spotted tabby lifted her head slowly as she looked to the leader"I am"She mewed getting to her paws coming over.

OOC: I’m awfully sorry for making you wait. I’m having quite the awful start of semester.

Blizzardstar smiled at the apprentice and signaled her to follow her with a quick flick of her long fluffy tail. Once they reached the entrance of the camp she finally started to talk “I can tell you’re ready to become a warrior Orchidpaw, but I’m not the only one you need to prove that to and you know it” She meowed softly to the younger cat as her paws led her through the slowly healing territory of ThunderClan “And because of that, I think it’s time for you to get your assessment and prove to the rest of the clan that you’re ready”.

Orchidpaw blinked and she smiled her eyes eager and bright"ok"she mewed following Blizzardstar

Once they arrived at the place she had chosen for the apprentice’s assessment, she smiled and nodded to herself. The place looked like if it was barely starting to go into Newleaf even if they were well into Greenleaf, way better than most of the territory if she had to be honest. Well, at least the effects of the fire were finally starting to give room to the rebirth of the forest that once was their home.

“Very well, this is what you need to do. You’ll need to bring me one mouse or vole, one squirrel and one bird. If you’re able to fulfill this request before the sun disappears behind the horizon, you would’ve proved that you’re ready to be a warrior. Now go” With those words she hid between the new undergrowth of the area, watching Orchidpaw but not letting herself be seen.

She blinked then gave a brisk nod moving deeper into the territory each pawsteps silent as she listened for signs of prey. She stopped very breifly as she caught the scent of mouse almost instantly and followed it quietly around to the base of a tree. The Brown furred creature was nibbling on something. Crouching and bunching her muscles she pounced.She landed on the mouse nipping the spine she killed the mouse and hid it to come back for

Blizzardstar kept looking at the apprentice with a smile on her muzzle, nodding approvingly to herself as she managed to catch a mouse with relative ease. She felt especially glad to see that the apprentice was careful enough to hide the piece of prey instead of just placing it in a random location that could cause it to get snatched by another predator while she wasn’t looking.

Orchidpaw then lifted her nose her maw just slightly sorted as she tried to find the scent of a squirrel next. Finding said scent she moved quietly her bright gaze keeping what for the next peice of prey. Her gaze soon found the squirrel and she crouched creeping forward on silent paws.She then pounced her prey soon laid dead before her and she hid it as well to come back for before deciding to hunt down her last peice of prey a bird.

Blizzardstar had to hold back a purr of satisfaction at Orchidpaw’s catches, she only had one more to go and she would be able to prove that she was ready to become a warrior at least.

Orchidpaw smiled and sniffed the air for a bird. The scent she caught was that of a thrush. She soon spotted it and crouched before she leapt at the feathered prey. She caught the bird and killed it cleanly and she smiled some. She flicked her tail a smile on her maw.

Blizzardstar walked out from her hiding spot with a smile on her muzzle and a soft purr in her throat “I knew you would fulfill the assessment, and I congratulate you for doing so with such ease. Now its time for us to head back to camp, so you can receive the warrior ceremony you deserve”.

Orchidpaw blinked and she smiled excitedly giving a nod she smiled"ok"she mewed gathering her caught prey.
