Snowkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Leopardstar climbed the Jaggedrock again and called the summons. "Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey join here beneath the Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!"

Snowkit poked out of the nursery out of pure curiosity. She always wanted to see all the clan gathered together! Even though she didn't want to talk to any of them she walked a bit before sitting a bit away from everyone.

Leopardstar spotted the kit standing by and began the ceremony. "Snowkit, step forward." He meowed, looking over the crowd. "You have reached the age of six moons and are ready to begin training. From this moment until you receive your warrior name, you shall be called Snowpaw. Badgerstorm will be your mentor. I know he will train you well." He finished, nodding to the warrior.

Rowantalon's grin nearly split him in two as his youngest daughter was made an apprentice. She was going to make a fine warrior someday.

Snowkit's eyes went wide with the realisation of what is going on and with a bit of fear. She looked to Rowantalon then back up to Leopardstar and took a deep breath she stepped forward. She tried not to show her excitement but that failed big time as her body was shaking and a big grin on her face. When Leopardstar finished talking she looked around for Badgerstorm then quickly walked over to him a big grin on her face.

Badgerstorm met Snowpaw's eyes as the tom padded towards the she-cat. He noticed how happy she looked, and he hoped to train her well. With the disappearance of Tuftpaw, Badgerstorm felt slightly sad to take on a new apprentice too quickly without accomplishing his other apprentice's training. Taking a small sigh, Badgerstorm touched noses with another one of Rowantalon's offspring.

Snowpaw was practically bouncing on her paws as she touched noses with Badgerstorm. She could tell though that something was off about him but shrugged it off.
