Blazingpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Blizzardshine smiled as she hoped onto the Highrock, finally another apprentice was ready to become a warrior “All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!”.

Leopardclaw, sitting at the base of the Highrock, couldn't help but smile proudly as Blizzardstar called the familiar summons. After a long discussion, they had decided that Blazingpaw was to receive his warrior name, and the golden spotted tom was overjoyed. Blazingpaw was his first apprentice, although he wasn't the first to receive his name. Nonetheless, he stood tall as the clan began to gather.

Blazingpaw's unsheathed claws scratched the ground as he quickly scampered out from the apprentices den. He had been waiting for this moment all day! Sitting himself down in position, his eyes sparkled like two shiny blue gemstones from a riverbed.

Blizzardstar waited until enough cats were gathered before speaking again “Blazingpaw, please, step forward”

Blazingpaw, beaming, stepped forward.

Blizzardstar took a deep breath “I, Blizzardstar, leaderof ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn” Her gentle eyes soon landed on the the tom “Blazingpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?”.

"I do." Blazingpaw mewed.

Blizzardstar smiled and nodded approvingly before she continued speaking “Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Blazingpaw, from this moment you will be known as Blazingwing. StarClan honors your cheerfulness and ambition, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan” With that, she leaped off the Highrock and rested her muzzle on the newly named warrior’s head to conclude the ceremony.

Blazingwing, ecstatic, pounced back onto the floor with a thud. He warmly glanced at his old mentor for a moment before bolting off into the forest. He was thrilled.
