Wisteriapaw's Assessment

Willowpetal padded to the apprentices den to arouse the apprentice, Wisteriapaw. Though she wasn't her apprentice, she needed her assessment done, so Willowpetal had stepped up to do it. She had no problem with it, and actually enjoyed being of help to her clanmates. Poking her head in she called softly for the she-cat before turning to wait for her at the entrance to camp.

She crawled out of the den and looked up at Willowpetal. She liked it when warriors were nice to her, so she didn't question her presence instead of Fracturedhawk.

Willowpetal smiled as Wisteriapaw approached her and she flicked her tail for the apprentice to follow. As she neared the river, she stopped and rested back on her haunches. "Today you'll be completing your assessment. You will catch me 2 river prey and 1 land prey. You have until the sun reaches its highest point in the sky. I'll be watching the whole time. Good luck. I'm sure you'll do fine." She meowed the usual instructions followed by an encouraging sentence.

She nodded. She headed out to the river first. When she got there, she took a moment to stare at the water her sister drowned in, sorrow filling her. But she came back together and looked through the water. She waited and waited until she saw a fish, and attempted to scoop it up and catch it.

Willowpetal watched with pride in her eyes as Wisteriapaw caught her first piece of prey. If she kept going like this, she be done before she knew it.

Pleased by her first attempt being a success, she noticed a frog sitting on a lily pad a little ways down the river, she let it drift closer to the shore and took a leap, hoping to not slip on the pebbles when she landed.

ic; Willowpetal as her apprentice's focus landed on a frog in the river resting lazily on a lily pad. It wouldn't have been too difficult for the older apprentice, except for the fact that the pebbles surrounding the river were quite slippery, and when Wisteriapaw did just that, she winced. She knew it was fine, though. Wisteriapaw was a nice hunter and would do just fine on her assessment.

She sneezed out the water in her nose and padded farther downriver, she stopped to smell her surroundings and tracked down a bird, waiting for the perfect moment to leap up and catch it.

Willowpetal watching with pride as the apprentice stealthily caught the bird she had been stalking.

She padded back to the river and thought for a moment If I need to catch two river prey, and I can't catch a Frog, I might as well catch another fish  so she waited and struck the fish, having a good feeling about the catch
