The Copper Rowan

Rowantalon tapped Copperpaw lightly with one paw. Her mentor had asked the new warrior to take her training and he had leapt at the chance.

"Copperpaw, training." He whispered. There was no need to wake the others.
Tonight the tom was going to teach her a very important Shadowclan lesson. A Shadowclan warrior has o learn how to quietly make their way through the marsh in the dead of night, completely silent and hidden.

He waited by the camp entrance. A light mist was falling, but the air was quiet warm and the tom felt quiet relaxed.

Copperpaw opened her unusually bright blue eyes and stretched. Her muscles flexing on her lean body as she stretched. She limped out of the den her orange pelt almost a crimsion in the morning and the spots on her pelt seemed to blend in with the dark making her look like the dark camp. Her dislocated back leg made it hard to move over to her temporary mentor. She padded over to Rowantalon and looked up at him. "What are we doing today?" She meowed letting out a slight yawn.

"I'm going to teach you how to move silently." He mewed. "Follow me."
He turned and padded into the darkness, sliding through the shadows and running silently.

He came to a stop in a patch of moonlight and waited for the she-cat to catch up.

Copperpaw nodded and then tried to keep up and mirrior his movements. She made several sounds but she was mostly quiet as they glided through the marsh. She came to a stop next to Rowantalon almost running into the tom.

"Excellent!" He purred. "Stay loose so you can bend, and make sure you stay low. Move from shadow to shadow like this."
He crouched and darted across a small patch of moonlight. "See? That way they can barely see you. Make sure spread your toes so you don't sink."

Copperpaw nodded and copied his movements for a while before turning to Rowantalon. "Like that?" She meowed.

He nodded in approval. "Now I want you to try it on a piece of prey."
He gestured to a small pile of fallen branches, where mice were sure to be hiding.
"When you catch it, try to be completely silent. This tactic is also very useful during a fight. You can strike out of the darkness and they'll never see you coming, which is one of the advantages of being a Shadowclan warrior."

Copperpaw nodded and scented the air for prey. She spotted a frog and started to stalk it with the technique Rowantalon showed her. She stalked the frog and then pounced and killed the frog.

The member 'Cloudstorm' has done the following action : Dices roll

'Hunting Dice' : 4

The tom approached her. "That was good, but try widening your toes more. You almost sunk into the mud, and you made a bit of noise. Try again- this time, try to make it silent."

Copperpaw nodded and did the exact same thing but this thing she followed exactly like he showed her. She stalked a frog and pounced and killed it.

The tom grinned. "There's one last thing I want to try before we go." He mewed.
"It's a battle move."

The tom dropped to the ground and began darting quickly through the darkness. "Do exactly what I told you while stalking prey" He instructed from the shadows.

"Stay low," The tom rushed past her, a dark blur.
"Keep your toes wide," He moved around the edge of the clearing before creeping up behind her silently and looming over her shoulder.
"And don't hesitate to attack."

He padded around her. "Right now you'll be practicing on me. No claws- I have enough scars already. I'll counterattack and we'll go on from there, alright?"

OOC: Battle system? It's not really a real battle...

OOC: if it's not a real battle there's no need for the battle system

IC: Copperpaw nodded. She copied the move the exact same as Rowantalon but this time she struck with her paws, no claws.

Rowantalon shook his head. "Try again. I'm going to walk this way and I want you to attack me without me seeing or hearing you. Don't just copy me, really learn it."

The tom turned and began to walk into the woods, turning his back on the apprentice.
