On a Gentle Breeze [Closed Patrol]

Mottleheart sat in the middle of the WindClan camp, his eyes closed but ears perked as he waited for Gentlepaw. He had been surprised when Ashstar had asked him to take over the apprentice's training but it was a welcomed thing - he would rather be doing something that could take his mind off of everything that had happened lately then just laying around. But he wasn't sure how far Gentlepaw was on her training so a simple border patrol seemed like the right idea. See what he could learn about her and then go forward from there. Hopefully Gentlepaw would get their warrior name in no time at all.

Gentlepaw woke quietly with a small stretch. The she cat looked over to her mentor,well new mentor, for a moment before she stood slowly and padded over quietly.

Mottleheart stood up as Gentlepaw made her way over, dipping his head in greeting to her. "Hello Gentlepaw," he purred in greeting as he motioned for her to follow. There was little reason to linger around in camp - wanting to get a head start on their training. "We are going to be doing a small patrols around the borders, alright?" he said as he spared a glance behind him at his new apprentice.

Gentlepaw blinked setting her twisted paw down beforr she nodded quietly"Alright...thats fine with me"She mewed looking at her mentor.

Mottleheart gave her a simple but warm look as he turned, being sure to keep his pace slow enough that she could easily keep up with him as he headed toward the ShadowClan border. "Our first stop is the ShadowClan border," he said, feeling it would be wise to explain what awaited them. "The border is marked by a strange path that we call the Thunderpath - Monsters roam it but don't worry, they are harmless unless you step foot on the path."

Gentlepaw blinked and gave a nod. She managed to keep up easily despite her twisted paw from her incident as a kit. She smiled a tiny bit listening quietly to what she already knew."alright"She mewed quietly.

It didn't take long for the two of them to reach the black path that cut through the landscape, the moor on one side and the swampy landscape of ShadowClan's territory on the other. The tom came to a halt a good distance away, using his tail to block Gentlepaw's path in a signal to do the same. The faint roaring of a Monster thundered in the distance, growing louder every second until a crimson colored beast speed across the path, paying no mind the two linger cats as it passed them only to disappear in the distance with breakneck speed. His gaze lingered on the spot on the horizon that the Monster had disappeared to before he allowed his gaze to shift back to Gentlepaw. "Tell me, what do you know about ShadowClan?" he asked as his gaze swept across the dark landscape that ShadowClan called home.

Gentlepaw blinked taken by surprise by the question. How was she even suppose to answer it. Gentlepaw flicked her tail nervously"um....well that's their territory on the other sidethunderpath...."Gentlepaw mewed nervously being so caught off guard by the question the she cat was at a loss for words"i..i don't know what to say..i wasn't expecting the question"She mewed looking to Mottleheart.
