Bubblepaw's Warrior Ceremony

I N C R E A S E T H E P E A S

"Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather beneath the tallbranch for a clan meeting!" The black and white deputy yowled from his perch on the ceremony branch. It was now time for another one of his kits to be named a warrior. So soon. He could not believe how fast they were growing up.

Bubblepaw padded over, with out tripping and sat in front of her father.

"It is time that another apprentice join the ranks of the warrior. Bubblepaw, please come forwards." Much like when he had named Cloudroar a warrior, the pride swelled up in his chest. His voice rang out bold and honestly like it had at any ceremony, but this felt different. Rippedsky looked down at the assembled crowd before his eyes fell onto his daughter. In only a few moments she would be one of the clan's warriors.

Bubblepaw stepped forward. She was ready to receive her warrior name and become a full warrior of her clan.

"I, Rippedsky, deputy of Skyclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this cat. She has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn." Rippedsky began, glancing up to silverpelt as he spoke the ancient words, "Bubblepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" His ear flicked as he looked at her, the question hanging heavily in the air.

Bubblepaw took a deep breath before nodding. "I do."

"Then by the powers of Starclan, I give you your warrior name. Bubblepaw, from this day forward, you will be known as Bubblemist. Starclan honors your kindness and heart, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Skyclan." Rippedsky finished the ceremony with as much enthusiasm as when he had started. Bubblemist was now one of the Skyclan warriors. The black and white deputy yowled her name along with the assembled cats before leaping down to welcome his daughter as a warrior for the first time.

Bubblemist smiled wide and nuzzles her father in thanks.
