Night time escapades, a favorite of the young Brookkit. Soft, yet at the same time harsh rays of moonlight covering her small fluffball of a body. Legs that were chubby but at the same time looked like fluffy sticks seemed to poke out of the side of her body. A small breeze flew through the den, causing her to cuddle closer to her mothers darker pelt. Although something arose from within her, the need to figure out. The need to know what was out there. Curiousity. Energy flowing through her veins, anxious to see what was outside of the den she had grown to live in and love. A yawn escaped from her mother's maw, causing a jolt of fear to run through her body, her fur sticking up like a moss ball that you clawed until the moss stuck out of the ball shape. Her greenish-blue eyes peered at the queen that had scared her, but also made her feel safe at the same time.

Slowly she began to roll away from her mother, nearing the edge of their nest. Brookkit enjoyed going outside of the nest when normally she would get in very big trouble, she knew how to get away with it though. Atleast most of the time, ok she only got away with it like twice but it is still a record for me! she thought about it like a story, and when she thought about what she was doing new parts of the story unfolded. Not paying attention to where she was or what she was doing, she fell. A loud thump came from the area she was in, causing a few peering eyes to search for the cause of the noise. "-oops" she mumbled to herself in response to the sudden action and sound. Brookkit stood up, lifting with her front legs and then her back, it took strength to her, and it made her feel great when she could get back up without crying.

Brookkit simply stood there, looking out of the den from the entrance and viewing the clearing. A sense of wonder and intrigue filled her, reminding herself that generations before her, some-kit had done the same as her. Somewhat of a Deja-Vu moment but different than most. Another breeze flew into the den causing her fur to shake into an even more jumbled mess. The crisp smell of wet grass, dirt, and the night all in one was exciting enough, but the sight of the sky was what convinced her. The stars seemingly formed their own river, a current going forever upward. Water one has to earn their rights to swim, and she knew in her heart that she would one day swim in that river. Quickly she attempted to run, and a couple minutes of stumbling and tripping on who knows what brought her to the entrance of the den. "Beautiful." she stated without thinking, and it was somewhat loud. Another groan from a queen came from the inside of the den "Stupid kits always waking us up.. gh..." but with that they had gone back to sleep. A wonder really, but Brookkit had been really not focusing on that. Her eyes were set upward, viewing the night sky. Wondering what, or who, was up there and if they could look back at her.

A mix of adrenaline and excitement filled her as she jumped up and down in the clearing. Kicking up dust and leaves making them float and then fall to the ground once more. A big, cheeky, grin appeared on her face as she envied the cascading light that formed from the sky. It seemed like the full moon and the bright stars were looking back down at her. Stars were her guide, to victory. she thought, overwhelmed with her love of the sky.
