A Sparrow Flies In

Sparrowkit slowly edged her way out of the nursery, her eyes wide with excitement. She blinked as she watched the other cats with fascination and slowly crept forward, trying to see the entire camp. Before she knew it, all four paws were outside the nursery. She froze, her handsomely dappled chocolate calico fur standing on end. She slowly turned to be sure that she was out before looking back at camp.

Despite her fear of breaking her mother's rules (You can't go outside the Nursery until Mallowkit is better), she couldn't help feeling excited as she looked up, craning her neck to try and see the open sky from beneath the trees. With a huge grin she leapt after a leaf that was caught in the breeze, chasing it until she fell onto someone's forepaws with a grunt. She bounced off their paws comically and landed in a heap before leaping up again, panting heavily.

Drift paced around the nursery, staring at the sky while slowly she was enveloped in an exciting daydream. She was sitting next to the clan leader, Rippedsky, on the Tallbranch and was about to be named as a warrior.. but wasn't he deputy? While she thought about the confusing subject, she almost jumped as a smaller, prettily dappled she-kit tumbled onto her two front paws. She flinched for a few seconds, her deep amber eyes wide and suspicious. The kit hadn't interacted with any other young cats since her rogue mother had brought her to Cloudclan. Or Skyclan, was it? Well, it didn't matter anyways. "Wh-who are you?" she squeaked at the younger she-kit, her back fur prickling.
