Hysterical

Leafpaw pounded into the camp. "Where's Sunpaw?" He demanded. "She's been missing all day!"
He turned to Blazingpaw and Clearpaw. "Where's my sister?" He demanded. She was his only family, and his only friend. If anything happened to her, by Starclan they'd be sorry.

Clearpaw had been in a rather good mood that day--he had been back in a more regular training schedule with Blacktwig, which meant he wasn't spending nearly as much time in camp, so some of his usual impatience and energy had been quelled. The training sessions were different, now, but Clearpaw enjoyed spending time with his mentor, just the same as he always had. He looked over at Leafpaw, who had bounded up to him looking rather distraught, and some of that happiness dissipated--Sunpaw was missing? "Oh, I haven't seen her today, either..." He mewed slowly, concern sparkling in his eyes. His tail tip twitched nervously. It wasn't like Sunpaw to run off without saying anything... Especially since she knew he would always say yes to whatever she had planned. So where had she run off to, without telling him or Leafpaw? "Maybe she's just been hunting or something." He suggested; even as he said the words, however, he knew they were unlikely to be true.

The brown and ginger tom had been fretful all day after the incident with Sunpaw. Where was she?Blazingpaw turned, startled, as Leafpaw demanded to know where his sister was. He flinched, and his eyes widened - he knew what happened, vaguely at the very least. "L-Leafpaw.." he stuttered, trying to stay cool, "Sunpaw's.. she's gone." His ears flattened, and he sat down. "I-I found her.. last night. Dying. Me and a few other cats were taking her to camp when.." he choked on his words, too anxious to continue.

"When what?" The tom snarled, wheeling around to face Blazingpaw. "What happened to her?" Leafpaw demanded.

Clear paw's eyes widened in shock; no, it couldn't be true... He had just seen Sunpaw the previous day! She couldn't be dead. What would have killed her? They hadn't found any badgers, foxes, dogs, or anything else of the sort roaming the territory. Nor had there been instances of enemy cats, and even if there had, what would a warrior have to gain by murdering an apprentice? Clearpaw's ears flattened against his head, and his whiskers trembled. "Th-that can't be true, there's no way." He said; his voice rang with false confidence, barely-masked sorrow. "We should just go and look for her! There's no way she's dead..."

Leafpaw sat down heavily. "You..." He snarled, his tail lashing. "You two lost her?"

"Y-you really think it's my.. You think I did it?" Blazingpaw responded, shocked and scared. "I.. I tried to help her. There was this.. Mist thing, and it.. it took her." He trembled like a leaf, having never been confronted like this before. "Trust me, if I had a choice, she'd be here right now. But.. I didn't."

Clearpaw's eyes betrayed nothing but sorrow as this exchange happened; in fact, he didn't even look as though he had heard most of it--Leafpaw's accusation fell on deaf ears. Sunpaw isn't dead. He was telling himself, She's fine, we just have to go out and find her. She's fine. Clearpaw wished that, at that moment, Sunpaw would walk right into the camp entrance, and this mystery would be put to rest. In fact, he nearly managed to convince himself that this was some sort of very sick joke. But no... He looked Blazingpaw, and could see that he was being genuine. "Leafpaw, calm down." His voice was trembling even as he tried to calm his clanmate, "Why... Why don't we just go out and look for her? You have to know that we would never hurt Sunpaw, we want to find her and bring her back just as much as you do. Blazingpaw, I think you must have been imagining things. Mist can't just take cats away. It's got to be a misunderstanding. Let's just... Let's go look for her."

Leafpaw nodded, leaping to his feet and pacing. "Let's go then! I'm not resting until I find her."
