Stay Alive [Open]

"Snowpaw!" Otterleap howled as he woke up, there was shooting pain from his leg from this action but he barely noticed it as he frantically looked around for his daughter. She was nowhere to be seen. And he wasn't in RiverClan territories anymore. Unless the reed-lands had been replaced with a cavern, this wasn't where he left his daughter. Left his dead daughter, he remembered, curling his head towards the ground as his claws slashed at the earth. How did it come to this? What had happened?

"I failed you, StarClan curse me." He grounded out, wracking sobs shaking his frame as he clawed at the rock hard enough for some of his claws to chip and shatter. His pads bled but he didn't care, his daughter was dead trying to save him. What parent wanted to outlive their kit. How in StarClan was he going to face Shellwater when he got out of here? She would hate him, judge him as weak. She chose the wrong cat as her mate, she should have chosen Sleetfang. He wouldn't have let his child just be taken from him, he probably wouldn't have been like him, a pathetic coward in the face of a fog.

So caught up in own grief, he didn't bother looking around, or scent the air. He didn't realise he wasn't alone in this cavern.

Sunpaw stirred and sat up from where she was slumped on the ground. "Oh Starclan," She muttered, standing. Her multiple wounds stretched and she yelped, but that didn't matter right now. "Blacktwig? Blazingpaw- Falconpaw?" She called. "This isn't funny- what's going on?"
She noticed a cat a little ways away and padded over desperately. "Hello?" She mewed loudly. "Where are we? Who are you?"

Cloverpaw woke up startled. "Owlpaw! Umberflame!!" She yowled and looked around frantically dazed.

Umberflame jumped up in fright hearing her name. "Cloverpaw im here!!" She meowed spotted the brown tortoiseshell she cat.

Sunpaw padded up to the cat in shock. "H-hey. It's okay..." She mewed weakly. "Uh..." She awkwardly stroked the older cat's flank, trying to calm him down enough to be able to talk to him.

At Sunpaw's touch, Otterleap jerked back in surprise before he realised he wasn't alone. The strong scent of ThunderClan had him instinctively draw out his claws, but one look at the motley bunch told him that they were no threat. The apprentice that approached him looked wounded badly, cut up like she'd be in a match with another cat, while the warrior and the other apprentice looked dazed. They were just victims like he was, StarClan save them all. "Thank.. you. Are you okay, you look wounded? And what about you two? Did that thing hurt you?"

Cloverpaw nodded. "Im fine just a few scratches." She meowed.

"I'm Sunpaw..." The she-cat mewed. She sat down heavily- now that the tom had come to his senses she could relax. "It wasn't the mist, or whatever that was. I was in a fight just before this, but I don't remember much. Where are we? Where's Thunderclan territory?"

Toadpaw was next to stir from his slumber. The clamor of cats made the fur in his ears twitch, and he blinked open his heavy eye. It was a dank( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) cave full of unfamiliar faces. He spotted Otterleap. The only one that was recognized by the apprentice was Otterleap, his mentor's mate. Wait, what had happened? He was just hunting with Shellwater minutes ago. That's right, he recalled. The fog. He kept quiet as the other cats conversed. He was going to find a way out while they dawdled.

Umberflame looked at Sunpaw. "Who were you fighting Sunpaw?" The she cat meowed lashing her tail.

"Toadpaw!" Otterleap yowled when he spotted the apprentice, he did care a bit for the other wounded apprentices and warrior but his clan came first naturally. He bounded over the apprentice, looking over him with a paw pinning him against the floor in case he was wounded and agitating anything. Only when he seemed unharmed, did the warrior let him up. "So this is where you were... I should have trusted Shellwater. Dark Forest damn us."

"It looks like we're all here, but maybe we should check those other passages. Make sure no one else is here that needs help... Oh, and I'm Otterleap, this is Toadpaw. We're RiverClan." Usually he wouldn't trust a ThunderClan cat as far as he could throw them, but this was special circumstances.

Swiftheart gasped as the mist cleared up to see cave walls. 'Where am I? I was just at the river! Is Duskpaw okay?' the sight of other cats hushed her racing mind. She saw some familiar faces. "Toadpaw? Otterleap? Is that you?" she said walking forward.

Sunpaw looked around at all the unfamiliar cats- Riverclan and Thunderclan had never been on the best of terms but she couldn't take all of them in a fight, especially considering her current condition. So instead she nodded quietly, ready to limp after them.
"Nobody," She answered quietly before turning away. She looked at Otterleap- he seemed to know what he was doing.

Toadpaw felt his fur shudder as Otterleap looked him over. "I'm fine," he complained. "Really." Sitting up, he eyed the warrior, then glanced to a nearby voice. He immediately recognized Swiftheart, and dipped his head in greeting. Though, it wasn't just RiverClan cats. Why was ThunderClan here as well?
