A patrol! (Closed for Seer)

Rosepaw padded along by herself lost in her thoughts as she passed by trees and bushes. Her tail lashed about and her jaw in a low growl. Why does her brother think he can walk all over her like that? He thinks he can treat her like some rotten fresh kill that needs to be tossed. Just because she was cheerful all the time and he wants to be stuck in his persona of a grumpy cat was not her fault after all. Whatever he can be stuck for a kit as long as possible then. Thankfully he was cause then she won't have to put up with him in the same den.

She had these exact thoughts as she sat in camp with nothing to do but as she saw Willowkit pad near her not even looking at her she had enough. Slipping past the entrance to camp she took a deep breath, she just had to get away from him. And this was the only way that would happen.

She didn't even care that she was making a lot of noise as she trampled on leaves not caring about prey at the moment.

Addergaze's wide shoulders dropped lower as her front half folded into a neater crouch as she gathered her powerful forelegs beneath her muscular form. Not a single strand of fur on her entire muscular form quivered as she continued to patiently sit in wait, chest and flank hardly moving as she continued to focus on the tiny shape carefully sifting through the dry leaves in front of her. Mouse! It was small, but obviously plump on the bounty of early New-Leaf. Slowly sweeping her tail from side to side, she felt her haunches being to wriggle from side to side as she prepared to pounce on the unsuspecting little creature.  Suddenly, the loud, crunching sounds of a cat obviously stomping near by made Addergaze's ears perk in disbelief as the mouse fled before she could leap.

Her heated amber gaze remained locked on the narrow hole within the mass of tangled roots that the mouse had dashed into mere heartbeats before, disbelief evident in their molten depths. What idiot was trampling around as if they were a badger with a thorn in their paw? Lurching to her paws, the burly tabby disregarded all of her previous attempts at being stealthy and instead went smashing through the frail undergrowth in search of the cat being so carelessly loud. Blundering through the limited undergrowth and swerving to avoid narrow tree trunks as she furiously hunted for the cat who disrupted her hunt- why couldn't she just get a little time to herself nowadays without ruining the entire moon?!

Catching site of the unfortunate Rosepaw, Addergaze stormed after the smaller she-cat furiously, letting out a loud, displeased caterwaul booming past her twitching lips. Reaching out with a massive forepaw, she managed to snag Rosepaw's tail and jolted the pale she-cat to a halt, doing her best to refrain from pricking the obviously sulking apprentice's tail with her claws. "What in Starclan's name are you doing, you squirrel-brained pest" She spat, ears swiveling towards the apprentice expectantly. "I outta flay your miserable pelt for such behavior! Didn't your mentor teach you the art of stealth?" She exclaimed, still obviously irritated as she glared at the smaller she-cat, feeling as if grey hairs were sprouting on her muzzle as she spoke. These young, hormonal she-cats were going to be the death of her!

Rosepaw heard something crashing through the bushes but paid no mind towards it. Maybe it was a badger and she can let out all of her frustration and anger. Claws unsheathed at the possibility of it she smiled faintly. Suddenly she felt something grab her tail pulling her to a stop. Signing silently, this was obviously not a badger to her dismay. She whipped around to face the other she-cat her eyes turned to slits as she saw it was a warrior cat.

All she wanted was to be alone and she guessed that wish was not going to happen this afternoon. Her jaw turned to a growl as Addergaze called her a pest. "Just leave me alone! Don't call me a pest you foxheart! You were also charging through the trees yourself did your mentor teach you stealth?" How dare this warrior call her those names. She didn't care if this was the leader at this point, she will call this cat out for it. No matter who they are. "I am so sorry I wanted to be alone. And now because of you all the prey ran off."

"I scared off the prey?" Addergaze echoed in disbelief, thick fur prickling as she gazed scornfully at the little apprentice, "Are you as stupid as you are deaf?" the burly she-cat grunted, teeth bared in a rather frightening, momentary snarl. A scowl was evident on her stern face as she glared down at the sulking apprentice- who was in charge of disciplining these wild, hormonal apprentices? Obviously they needed a bit of retraining when it came to such a matter. Addergaze, quick as lightning, reached out to clout Rosepaw's left ear with decent force- although her claws remained sheathed as the last thing she wanted to deal with was even more tears. "Apparently stealth isn't the only thing you lack knowledge in- apparently you completely forgot the 'respect your elders' mantra of Clanlife!" She grunted, although something caught her attention.

"You're one of Rippedsky's latest broods, ain't ya?" She suddenly rasped, reaching out with a massive forepaw once more to prod at Rosepaw's face in an attempt to further observe the she-cat's facial structure, "I thought I recognized that insufferable victim card from somewhere." She grunted, dry humor evident in her sharp tone. Rosepaw's fur color was a stark contrast from Rippedsky's bleak black and white fur, but the apprentice obviously held the rather triangular features of the formerly Windclan tom. A loud, guttural laugh shook the she-cat's broad shoulders as she glared down at Rosepaw. Trust a Deputy to raise a brat! "C'mon you crykit, let's see if you're actually worth as much trouble as you apparently cause." Addergaze rumbled, jerking her head as a sign for the masked she-cat to follow.

Rosepaw stared with angry eyes at Addergaze even more then the warrior herself. "Are you stupid? If you crashing through the trees didn`t alert the prey to your presence yelling at me certainly is." Addergaze terrifying snarl did nothing to make her back down. She did not cared if this warrior leaped at her with claws unsheathed. Also not caring that if it did come down to that she would be servery under experienced since she is a brand new apprentice. But her stubbornness made her show her inner feelings. When Addergaze hit her ear she was taken aback not expecting that at all, really that was the farthest thing she expected the warrior to do. Staggering back her eyes turned to slits again, "Who cares about the Clan Code at this point!"
She nodded to Addergaze question taken aback again as she brought her paw to Rosepaw face. "Yeah?" Then her voice turned rough again, "What`s that supposed to mean? What are you talking about you crazy old bat." Stepping away from Addergaze she looked at the warrior like she was crazy. Which might be a strong possibility, this cat was unpredictable that was for sure. Rosepaw stared questionably at Addergaze as she laughed then signed deeply. Now it looks like she is stuck with this crazy warrior. Great. Her tail lashed though at the comment, "I am not a crykit you crazy cat! Don`t call me that! And what`s that supposed to mean?" Maybe she can sneak away from her when she wasn`t looking.

"You don't know what a crykit is?" Addergaze echoed with a vague mix of irritation and amusement as she continued to lead the unwilling apprentice further into the territory- once again, trust a Deputy to raise a spoiled, sheltered kit. Tail swinging in wide arcs as they continued their little expedition, she began to veer away farther from camp and towards Riverclan territory- prey tended to be richer over their due to the easy access of water. Easily clearing the corpse of a fallen, rotting log, the bulky she-cat steered the duo to a sheltered little clearing that was buzzing with the sounds of insects and various scents of prey who had been far enough away from their heated exchange that they hadn't been scared away.

Turning towards the little Rosepaw, she flicked her ear as she gazed down at the pale apprentice with her signature fiery gaze, obviously sizing her up. "You're small for your age- and rather undisciplined," She observed, although the words were still sharp, they lacked any sort of malice or true irritation, "Whoever's in charge of your training obviously hasn't been keeping up very well." She continued, whiskers bristling at her own words- apprentices always seemed to be slipping through the cracks nowadays. "Lucky for you," Addergaze bared her teeth in a toothy grin, "I'm competent enough to oversee your training for the day." A part of her enjoyed ruffling Rosepaw's fur- it was so uncommon for she-cat's to be as naturally quick-tempered as Addergaze herself was, so she was understandably excited at the thought of having a cat as fierce as herself around. "Now tell me what borders you haven't visited yet." She instructed, dropping to her haunches heavily before lifting up a massive hindpaw to lazily scratch at her ear as she waited for the little she-cat to respond.
