Rockthorn felt a sense of peace as he saw fourtrees, but it quickly turned into one of anger, memory filtered in of his near-death experience. The mixed feelings made the tom feel weak - weaker than he already was as he limped towards the clearing, blood running down his jaw for he had lost a fang and chipped a couple of his other teeth from the nasty blows to his jaw. It felt hot and swollen when he had earlier probed it to see if it was broken or not - he wasn't sure but he knew it hurt too much to speak at that point.

He was a mess, he knew it but couldn't bring himself to care anymore, he didn't care about anything. The scratches that he did have had clotted on his way there, but his chin still felt wet. When he came up to the great rock, he sniffed around it Brindlewhisker's scent strong from their meet up two nights previous. Settling down where she had sat, he rested his chin to the cold dewy grass, night having befallen on him since his fight with Hawkpaw.
