Molekit, Willowkit, and Silverkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting!" the RiverClan leader yowled. Gracious, it sure was apprentice season.

Willowkit padded out of the nursery after withstanding her mothers urgent tongue, but now strode excitedly and nervously towards the Willow Branch. It was her turn to become and apprentice and her eyes were wide with excitement, not wanting to miss a moment of her ceremony. Finally she got the their meeting place and sat down, attempting to calm her nerves and twitching tail.

Silverkit ran out from the nursery, full of energy. She only stopped when she reach the cats that were sitting around the leader of Riverclan. The gray and white she-cat sat down, waving her tail and flicking her ears, trying to hear anything about the reason for the gathering. Maybe it was ceremony! The she-kit was old enough to have a mentor and learn about how to be a warrior. This must be a ceremony! I hope it is mine...

Molekit padded swiftly out of the nursery with well-groomed fur and shining eyes. He tried very his best to stay as calm as he could while taking quick steps. He reached the meeting spot silently and settled down beside Willowkit. Today was exciting. It was the day that he'd finally gain his apprentice name, a mentor, the right to leave camp, and the right to learn how to fight and hunt. There were so many warriors in RiverClan that he looked up to, so Molekit couldn't help but wonder which one would be chosen to mentor him.

"Molekit, Willowkit, and Silverkit, please step forward," Fishstar meowed.

Molekit took a confident and silent step forwards, his pale green eyes staring straight up at Fishstar.

Silverkit's eyes were bright because of the happiness. She stood up and stepped forward close to her brother, Molekit. Finally they were going to be named as apprentices. She was ready to be the best warrior of Riverclan.

Willowkit smiles cheerfully as she was called to step forward. This is it! I'm one step closer to becoming a warrior! she though excitedly as she stepped forward to stand next to Molekit.

"You have reached the age of six moons, and are all now ready to be apprenticed. From this day forth, until you receive your warrior named, you shall be known as Molepaw, Willowpaw, and Silverpaw. Your mentors will be Stormheart, Yellowthroat, and Buzzardclaw. May they teach you all that they know." The leader dipped her head to close the ceremony and leaped off of her perch.

Stormheart's eyes snapped up to his mother as his name came up. Finally, his day to train an apprentice had come! The prospect of helping raise and train one of a new generation of warriors was beyond thrilling to him. Rising to his paws, he made his way over to his newest companion - Molepaw.

"You'll be the stuff of ThunderClan's worst nightmares by the time I've finished training you.. You know, if you're willing to learn, that is." He chuckled heartily and lowered his head to touch his nose to the younger cat's.
