Stars in Clear Skies (open)

Star was looking around with wide, curious eyes, questions dancing on the tip of his tongue. Where are we? Why are there so many other cats here? I'm hungry, how did you catch all that prey? Can I have some? Why are there so many trees here? Star's paws itched to leave, to run back into the forest find a tall tree to climb, to see if he could see the entire forest. But his curiosity about this place outweighed his natural urge to explore, so he stayed put. He met the eyes of several cats, who gave him rather odd looks in return--he didn't feel entirely welcome, but he wasn't put-off by it.
He looked around the camp for the cat who had brought him into camp; it had been awhile since he first arrived, and since, the sky had gradually lightened, the stars disappearing slowly, and the sun was just peeking over the horizon. Star was full of energy--he loved to see the sunrise, but usually, he had a much clearer, unobscured view of it. Again, he thought of climbing a tree, being able to see it properly from the tall branches. He shifted from paw to paw, his tail twitching, as he looked towards the tall boulder that the rather intimidating cat who he had first encountered went. He had said something about speaking to a leader... Did that mean one cat was in charge of all these cats? Would he be in charge of Star? Star didn't like the idea of being controlled, but then again, he was sure his mother would catch up with him soon, and they could continue traveling, like always. So, he waited.

Hawkkit bounced on Falconpaw, laughing as he spooked the jumpy apprentice for the third time that day. He rolled off and lay on his back, paws reaching out to the sky. With a purr, he curled up on the warm ground, large body rising and falling calmly. He watched a line of ants, placing his paw down in the path and watching them go around. Some carried bits of a grasshopper, others, seeds, even other ants. He wondered where their prey pile was.
