Sibling Time!:3

Roaringkit padded out of the nursery after taking a well-needed nap. Still waking up, the sleepy kit took in the sight of the familair grounds of camp. His yellow eyes watched his fellow Shadowclan cats bustle around, feeling a pang when he saw an apprentice that reminded him of his sibling. Tawnypaw was training to be a warrior now. He missed her dearly.

Then he spotted a mossball lying innocently a few fox-lengths away.

With a rush of energy flowing through his muscles, the tiny kit skittered over to the ball and jumped onto it. Claws unsheathed, the kit tried to keep a good grip on the ball, wanting to see how long he could keep balance.

"What you doing? Roaringkit!" Echokit, Roaringkit's sibling, padded out of the nursery. She woke up from her nap when she felt Roaringkit stirring awake. Still blinking sleep from her eyes she bounced over to him, throwing him off balance.

Roaringkit fell off the moss ball with an oof! "Ow," He said out-loud as the un-even ground jabbed his side. The kit was covered in stray clumps of moss that stuck at his dark fur. "Don't knock me over, Echokit." He whined.

Echokit moved next to him when she saw him fall concern glazing her eyes. She was always concerned for her tiny sibling, being an average size kit, she was always watching out for him.

"I'm sorry Roaringkit. You looked like you were having fun." She smiled as she rolled the moss-ball over. "I would clean your fur out before mother sees." She advised him.


Ooc: overprotective little kit.

Roaringkit gets onto his paws. "Thanks." He felt a little guilty at her concern, for he had been a little snappy. "Um, sorry for whining."

OOC: I love that idea, 100% yes!

"It`s fine. We are just uneasy about Tawnypaw." Her voice shook a bit at Tawnypaw`s name. Why does she get to be an apprentice? Its not fair!

Shaking her head out, she can`t do anything about her but she can be a great kit and just wait for her ceremony with the rest of her siblings. "Do you still want to play?"

Roaringkit agreed with her deduction of his out of line behavior. She hit the issue right on; he was restless. The kit was ready to grow up and train to be a helpful part of the clan. Yet he was confused at how little he envied Tawnypaw for becoming a warrior apprentice. The little kit felt like he was in limbo, as if he was missing another path he could take in his life.

He broke out of his thoughts at Echokit's suggestion. Maybe playing would get the restlessness out of his system. "Sure! What do you want to do?"

Trying to get her mind off of Tawnypaw a idea popped in her mind. They will get in serious trouble for this but honestly she does not care. Maybe if they succeed the leader will finally realize they are big enough to become apprentices. And, hopefully, it will get this uneasiness feeling deep inside of her to disappear.

"Why don`t we sneak out of camp?"

Roaringkit's eyes bugged out of his head. He didn't say anything at first because his voice's natural volume would alert anyone in the camp what they were doing before they could say "frog". But then the kit thought that maybe the world outside would give him more ideas about what to do as an adult.

Quenching his fear, the kit looked at his sister and nodded. He had to restrain the excitement building up in him, his paws itching to start running outside the camp.

Echokit surprisingly didn`t feel a trace of fear only excitement as her eyes scanned the camp for any older cats. Unsheathed her tiny claws dug into the dirt and pulled them out. How would they sneak out of camp? Even though she came up with the idea she didn`t think that far enough.

"Do you have any ideas?" She meowed quietly.

She also did not think about Roaringkit`s well roaring voice.

Roaringkit nodded. "Let's visit the Medicine Cat den," He answered her question. "I think I might have a bellyache." What the kit was really saying, however, is that they could try to sneak out through there.

Echokit tilted her head, oblivious to what he was implying. She was confused by the abrupt change of subject. "Um.. sure Roaringkit? I guess."

Roaringkit paused, trying to think of a way to explain himself better so she'd understand his idea without accidentally announcing it to the whole clan. Not coming up with anything, Roaringkit decided to just explain his plan once they were out of earshot (hopefully). "Let's go, Echokit!" He padded to the Medicine Den, hoping that A) the medicine cat wasn't there and B) there would be a good secret passage out of camp through the ferns that outlined the den.

Echokit followed her sibling quietly to the nursery den. Did Roaringkit really not like her idea? She knew if they got caught they might get in serious trouble. But it did seem like he needed something to occupy his mind right now, and honestly so did she. So maybe seeing new stuff will get work with both of them.

Once they were at the Medicine Cat Den, Roaringkit glanced inside the den. The Medicine Cat wasn't there. "Ok, I think the coast is clear," Roaringkit whispered to his sister, standing in the den. "Let's go look for a secret exit out of camp the Medicine Cat Den, I think there could be one here!" he meowed excitedly.
