Pinekit's Apprentice Ceremony

Leopardstar stood, once again, on top of the Jaggedrock. "Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey join here beneath the Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" He called, pleased that there was yet another youngster beginning their journey to warriorship.

Pinekit strode out of the nursery, head held high. He was six moons old - was it time for his apprentice ceremony now? He'd been waiting long enough! He sat down amongst his brothers and sisters, giving them each an excited glance.

Leopardstar spotted the kit and his siblings standing by and began the ceremony. "Pinekit, step forward." He meowed, meeting Pinekit's young gaze with his own stern one. "You have reached the age of six moons and are ready to begin training. From this moment until you receive your warrior name, you shall be called Pinepaw. Snakeblaze will be your mentor. I trust he will teach you true strength and honor." He finished, nodding to the warrior.

Pinekit - no, Pinepaw - flashed a excited grin back to his family as he received his new name, sitting up straight. He felt perfectly comfortable with this level of attention, in fact, he thrived on it. He lived for this kind of recognition. He scanned the crowd for his new mentor, Snakeblaze.
