Dusk in the light (open)

Two black-and-grey paws tottered through the snow, sand and reeds as Duskkit exited the nursery, tail swishing. His ice-blue eyes darted around the area excitedly, looking for a kit to interact with. His brothers and sisters were good too, but he had played with them nearly every single day since he was born. He was slightly overwhelmed by everything. The birds in the sky, the warriors bustling around him, the water swishing all the way round the camp. He quickly scampered away from the centre of the camp, mewling happily and crouching behind the nursery.

He saw a figure laying in the snow only a few tail-lengths away, and decided to meet them. "Hi!" he squeaked, voice high pitched. "Wanna play?"

Willowkit had been laying in the light snow outside the nursery, trying to stalk a leaf, when her brother came up to her asking to play. Willowkit groaned at being interrupted in the middle of her hunt, but there was a cheerful grin on her muzzle. "Sure Duskkit!" She chirped happily, always ready to play with her many siblings. "What do you want to play?" She asked curiously, tail twitching excitedly, ready for whatever game her littermate came up with.

"I've made up a good game," Duskkit announced proudly, "we have to pretend that someone is a fish or vole, and then you have to stalk them around the nursery and catch them." He nodded, as if approving his idea. "You wanna play?" he started fiddling with the leaf she had been hunting, poking holes into it with his claws.

"Got room for one more." Sparkpaw meowed, shaking off the snow on her pelt as she approached the two kits. They were distantly related, but beyond that, they were adorable balls of fluff that she wanted to spend time with. Apprentice duties were boring and tedious, there was only so many times that she could endure raking the moss before she threw herself off the gorge.

Duskkit nodded quickly, accepting the new player. "Are you ready?" he questioned excitedly, hopping from paw to paw. He had never played or talked to an apprentice before. It would be fun and a new experience.
