Forestkit's first time out

Forestkit yawned and woke up in the nursery. Her soft, downy pelt was fluffed out. Bits and pieces of moss and dried bracken were caught on the ends. She shook them off, stretching. She sauntered out and was greeted by tons of new smells. "Whoa!" Forestkit exclaimed to no one in particular. She glanced around the camp. Sniffing around, she realized the only few scents she knew were coming from behind her. She instinctively took a step back towards the nursery. She caught a tang of something that smelled particularly juicy. She tried to pick it out from the rest, but all the scents seemed to be mixing into a giant swirl. Overwhelmed, she began stumbling forward. She finally spotted something green sitting in the middle of the clearing. The juicy smell wafted from it. Frogs, she thought. She stumbled around camp, watching the marshy grasses sway in the wind. She began running, but tripped over her fluffy tail and fell, smearing her long fur into the mud.
