James thought for a moment. "He was pretty good." He replied.

"Competition is tough..." Jamie said, feeling a bit nervous about performing.

James replied and a mmhmm.

"Some confidence booster you are," she said sarcastically, she made these comments when she was nervous. She fiddled with her hands under the table.

James laughed.

Jamie weakly smiled, "Ya big jerk," she joked, it was about this time when the DJ came back to announce the next singer. "Alright, next up is...Jameson McGrath singing... ooh a little old style, nice. Jameson will be singing Holding out for a Hero" Jamie got up, "Wish me luck!" she said smiling and walking up to the stage. She slowly walked up to the stage and put the mic to her lips. The music started slowly, Where have all the good men gone and where are all the guards? Where's the streetwise Hercules to fight the rising odds? Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed, late at night I toss and I turn and I dream of what I need. suddenly there was a cymbal crash and the music sped up and what sounded like a chorus of angels sang out. Jamie ripped the ponytail ring from her hair, releasing her hair to flow down like a silk veil, I need a hero, I'm holding out for a hero till the end of the night, and he's gotta be strong, and he's gotta be fast, and he's gotta be fresh from the fight. Larger than life. as the music played between stanzas, Jamie leaped off the stage and onto a nearby table. Somewhere after midnight in my wildest fantasy, somewhere just beyond my reach there's someone reaching after me. Racing on the thunder and rising with the heat, it's gonna take a superman to sweep me off my feet! While singing, Jamie leapt from table to table, gently, not disturbing their food, and as the instrumental started, she leapt down and began to dance gracefully, but as the music picked up she raced back to the stage, once there she prepared for the next part of the song. Up where the mountains meet the heavens of Earth, or where the lightning splits the sea I can swear there is someone somewhere watching me! this part she sang so loudly and forcefully that it shook her insides. Through the wind, and the chill of the rain, and the storm and the flood, I can feel his approach like the fire in my blood! She began to dance around with the beat of the music, her serene eyes blazing like green fire, passion pouring out of every lyric. She finished the final chorus and with the last word, the music thundered to an end. She took a bow, her auburn hair flowing over her head and then back to her shoulders. She slowly descended the stage steps, handing the mic back to the DJ, and then returning to James.

James clapped and whistled grinning from ear to ear as Jamie came back. "You were great!!" He said and hugged her spinning her around before setting her back down and giving her cheek a kiss.

Meanwhile with Jessie her eyes had started to flutter almost as if Jamie's singing had summoned her from her deep slumber. The doctors raced in at the first sign of movement from her eyes and waited.

Jamie grinned and wiped some sweat from her forehead, "Thank you!" she was proud of the job she had done, "I just wish Jessie would have been here to hear it." she took a drink, her throat and lungs were sore for the force it took to sing that song.

James smiled sadly. "i wish my sister was here to." He said.

"Great job, Adam!" Natalie congratulated Adam after he finished performing. She threw a harsh glance at Jamie after she loudly announced her relation to Adam, and scowled as she started singing. After Jamie finished, Natalie cheered sarcastically and clapped slowly, even though she was pretty sure that Jamie didn't notice her. 
"I think we both did better than her, but it isn't up to me to decide," Natalie commented to James. "Just like the songs we sang, we are victorious teenagers!" Natalie laughed at her weird play on words.

Adam laughed, he could tell there was a hint of jealousy in her eyes that was overpowered with anger. "I'm sure the DJ will choose the one who did the best." he said trying to calm her. On the outside he appeared untouched by Jamie's performance, but on the inside he beamed with pride.

Jamie noticed Natalie, but didn't care, she knew she did her best and that's all that mattered.

The DJ came over the speakers again, "Alright, our final performance is by two strapping young men, Kevin Braylon and Archer Madison singing a little Footloose! Good luck boys!" Archer grinned as he jumped up from the table and headed up to the stage, pulling Kevin behind him.

OOC: Alright, how do you want to do this?

James slapped Kevin and Archer on the back for good luck gently. James phone buzzed and she frowned. "Ill be right back I've gotta answer this. It could be the hospital." He said and walked outside and answered his phone. "Hello? This is James." "Hello this is Delta Hospital and we're calling to tell you that Jamie Griffith is awake." James let out a gasp. "Ok great thanks bye." He said hanging up and running back inside. "We need to go to the hospital after this because Jessie's awake." He said to Kamie as they waited for Archer and Kevin to sing their song.

"Okay, let's tell Miss Sadie," Jamie said rising from the table, she ran to the other side of the room, "Miss Sadie, James just got a phone call from the hospital, Jessie's awake!" she said cheerfully. Miss Sadie looked delighted, "Alright, well, all we have to do is wait for those two to sing and then get the reward, because I know one of you grand kids have one, and then we'll head right over there." she said looking at her watch.

James looked to Jamie. They were all going? He looked from Natalie to Jamie and frowned. After what he did to Jamie he didn't want Natalie near his sister.

Jamie gave Miss Sadie a swift nod, grabbed James by the hand, and pulled him to the side. "I know what you're thinking, with a big group like ours, they're only going to let family in; you and Miss Sadie," she said comfortingly.
