'Traitoress' Is Meaningless (closed for Ice)

Cherrymist gazed up the smooth bark of the Star Oak, her eyes glowing with wonder. He could feel it was the second time she was drawn to this world, but she could not quite get used to the sight that the dreams offered her. Or at least the ones she knew about. Her pelt prickled with kit-like excitement as he stared up the tree. Fixing her claws in its surface, she found much grip that did jot appear to sight, and she was soon enough upon a lower branch, looking out into the open territories. It's so beautiful... she said to herself, licking one of her paws and passing it over her head a few times. The shining light of the dreams made her pelt seem gray, sometimes.

Her wonder and calm was interrupted by a small shake from the tree. She glanced around not quite knowing where to trace the uneasy feeling that crept over her from. Cherrymist spotted another shape, another cat, climbing the tree. Their pelt shined, but it was still as dark as it was in life, and the movements slowly brought back memories of the cat to the SkyClanner. Her uncle climbed upon the same branch, and the she-cat couldn't help but stare at him. She remembered the grief of her father at the death of him, and the sadness of Rabbitpaw had been so thick you could slice it with your claws. Her maw opened, but she was speechless, all she could do was mouth the warrior's name endlessly, until she gave herself the courage to speak it aloud.

"Antdrop...?" she whispered, looking at the tomcat with uncertainty as other memories flooded back to her. Their united hatred for Webtail, Lightningstrike and Rippedsky. But now she accepted them as loyal SkyClanners and Rippedsky was... her mate. Grief pierced her heart as she remembered her howls of sadness for Tigerblaze, but the gentle tom had soothed her heart and helped her make the right decision. But now...
