It had been at least three or four moons since Frostedgaze had been captured by Twolegs. To be honest, being killed by that fox would've been better than having a collar being slapped on her neck with owl pellets for daily food. It was sickening to Frostedgaze. The Twoleg kits always had their huge, odd shaped paws all over her, lifting her up and placing her back down. Frostedgaze had no clue why kittypets liked it. It was just...awful! However, by the luck of StarClan, she had made a quick escape after being let outside by her twolegs. The joke was on them for letting her out of their sight. And it was surprising how quickly she managed to run away from that twoleg nest. The route back to ShadowClan's territory had practically been memorized, and it was easy for her to find her way right back to fence, and even easier to make her way over it. However, the territory seemed to be near to unfamiliar. All she had been feeling under her pads for the past few moons was the hard wood of the twoleg nest, not the marshy and wet ground of ShadowClan's territory. The black-and-white she-cat padded swiftly through the grounds that she had used to call home. Hopefully, she'd be able to call it home once again. Doubts were clouding her mind.
Will they remember me?
Will they accept me?
What if they call me weak for being taken by twolegs?
Or maybe she was just foolishly stressing.
The camp was near, she could tell, because the fresh scent of ShadowClan cats drew her closer to where the camp entrance was located. It had been a while since she had gone into the ShadowClan camp. Frostedgaze already knew that time had carried on, new kits had been born, which meant new apprentices, which meant new warriors for the Clan. That also meant that a lot of the cats there wouldn't know who she was. She prepared herself for some shocked and quite possibly hostile glances. All she needed to speak to was Thrushstar. The respectful thing to do was to ask for acceptance back into ShadowClan, instead of just considering herself back in the Clan without consulting her superior.
The black-and-white she-cat closed her eyes, inhaling and exhaling, before padding into the camp. Her gaze was calm. Immediately, she saw more than a handful of strange faces. It all seemed strange to her, but she was probably strange to them, too. After looking to her left and right, she blinked.
Where's Thrushstar?
All she had to do was wait for the first cat to notice her arrival...
