| A little kit sat in the nursery, looking around at the other kits and queens packed inside. His fur was a russet color, hence the name Russetkit, but it was more of a brighter, reddish hue. A faint black stripe ran from the top of his head all the way down his back to the tip of his tail, and his mother predicted that this stripe will darken with his age, as well as his pelt color.
Russetkit stood up, wanting something to do besides sit around. Maybe one of the other kits would know something fun to do? Or maybe one of the bigger cats would play with him? With a bold attitude, the tom ventured off and approached a cat, planning to make the stranger into a friend. ______________________________________ - Lavenderpaw:

| Duneclaw looked up, startled as a leaf swept past his face. Looking around Duneclaw's eyes landed on a kit walking towards his general direction. What was the kit wanting to do? Maybe play a game with him? He couldn't tell yet who the kit was going for. Duneclaw looked around. Was the kit heading towards him, or some other cat's way? Duneclaw decided stay where he was and watch.

| Duneclaw looked at Russetkit. Then he smilied back.
"I'm Duneclaw." Then Duneclaw remebered to say hi. "Um, hi?". He said, embarresd that he didn't say hi before introducing himself. Shaking his head, Duneclaw looked at Russetkit and asked " What do you want Russetkit?"

| Russetkit turned to look at Rushkit with a broad smile. "Hi Rushkit, I'm Russetkit, and Of course you can play with me!" He then glanced back over at Duneclaw. "Are you going to play with us, too? Or do you have to do a patrol or something? My mother told me all about warriors and their patrols, and you look like a warrior!"
