The Newest Member of Windclan

A small, fluffy kit blinked her bright blue eyes open, sheltered from the cold of Leafbare by the nursery's warmth. She was the newest member of the clan - Lavenderkit, as her mother called her - and she was just beginning to understand the wonders of her life. The little she-kit arose to her tiny paws and shook the moss from her long, fuzzy fur. She was done her nap and all charged up to play, so she stumbled off on ner clumsy kitten paws to find someone whom she could befriend.

Vulturekit hissed as Lavenderkit came in her general direction. Her brown face clunched in a scowl. "Watch where you're going, you little piece of mouse dung." she swiped her paws at the she-kit.

Lavenderkit reeled back as the older kit swiped at her. Shocked, the fluffy she-kit's face dropped to a saddened expression as she ducked her head. "Sorry, I....I...." Lavenderkit stuttered, feeling scared. Come on, Lavenderkit! Don't let her talk to you like that, she thought to herself. With newly found courage, Lavenderkit stood up straighter and looked the stranger right in the eye. "....I didn't know you were such a brat," she retorted with a flick of her long, gray tail. Lavenderkit hardley even knew what a mouse was, anyway, much less mouse dung.

Sunkit got up from laying down and glared at Vulturekit. "quite being a mouse brain!" Sunkit said to the older kit to stand up for Lavanderkit although he was small herself. Sunkit walked over to the new She-cat. "Hi I'm Sunkit, Don't worry about mouse brain over there. I'll be your friend if you like!" Sunkit was always warm and full of light so he had no problem with stangers.

Vulturekit's eyes narrowed and she sprinted across the den, landing on Lavenderkit, shoving her down. "What did you call me?" she hissed.

Sunkit hissed at Vulturekit. Then leaped onto her back. "Leave her alone!" Sunkit growled at the older kit. "Your being a mouse brain!" Sunkit hissed biting on the back of her neck where a queen would to pick up her kit to make her stop attacking the new kit.

Lavenderkit yowled and squirmed under Vulturekit. "Get off of me! I was only telling the truth," she hissed as she pawed up at the brown tabby. She was greatful for Sunkit, who tried to help, but it seemed to Lavenderkit that Sunkit couldn't do much damage. "If you don't wanna be called a brat, then don't act like one. Just let me go, I'm sorry."

Vulturekit hissed, shaking Sunkit off of her, but stepping off of Lavenderkit. She glared holes into the younger kit, pressing her paw down on her chest. "I would tear your pretty little fur out if I could." she snarled, letting go of the kit.

Sunkit growled and went to Lavanders side. "are you ok? Do you meed the medicine cat?" Sunkit mewed worried.

Lavenderkit scrambled to her paws, giving her feathery, off-white fur a shake to get rid of dirt and moss. She glared up at Vulturekit, her blue eyes blazing with an inner, icy rage. "Well you can't, so scurry off," growled the she-kit as she licked down her now tangled pelt. "And I'm alright, Sunkit, thanks for asking," Lavenderkit purred in a sweet tone as she turned to the tom, her eyes clearing to a crystal blue.

Eveningflower woke up with a jolt. "What's going on?" she asked and gazed around until she spotted Lavenderkit.

Sunkit purred and nuzzled Lavanderkit in a friendly maner. "I'm glade your ok Lavanderkit" Sunkit said happily then looked at Eveningflower and walked over to her. "Vulturekit was being a mouse brain and attacking Lavanderkit for no reason!" Sunkit hissed angry that Vulturekit attacked Lavanderkit.

Willowwhisker awoke from the noise, and jumped to her feet when she saw the kits not playing, but fighting. In a deep voice, she let out a small growl."Just what do you think you are doing? Vulturekit, please dont pick on other kits." Letting out a mewl of happiness that Sunkit had made a friend, she laid down in her nest, nuzzling her kits.

Sunkit purred and layed on the ground.

Darkkit mewed upset from being woken up by the fighting. Looking at Vulturekit Darkkit growed for starting the fight then curled up nuzzling her mother for more warmth.

Willowwhisker had woken up so she decided to stay quite. "Well Sunkit that was very nice of you!" she praised while watching her roll on the ground. Eveningflower bent over and licked her cheek.
