Jaykit yawned as she got up quietly from her nest, licking her gray pelt until she abandonned the task in favour of poking her head out of the nursery, blinking her yellowish-gresn eyes in the morning light. The rays of the sun made the snow outside gleam for a few moments, until the young she-cat got used to it, and walked outside in the brisk cold. She felt utterly lonely, and quite too shy to go and wake up her two siblings.

Beetlepaw returned to camp with yet another bunch of deathberries picked from Fourtrees in order to keep danger away. The precious and dangerous cargo was wrapped in large beech tree he had picked from around the large clearing, and he walked carefully through the cold snow. The tom successfully reached his den, placing the leaves high up on a shelf, hoping that Willowwhisker's kits were not going to make any kind of trouble.
