Bouncy, Cloudy Interest [closed for Night]

Bouncekit sat in the center of camp. He did not lament over what he did not know; for the kit's life was too new to be spoiled. Instead, he creeped around the medicine cat, Cloudstone's den, watching him as he arranged herbs. His honey golden-green eyes were like flickering golden flames in a statue of gold. His stripes ran directly down his body, like serpents wrapping the kit in their mysterious grip. Bouncekit wandered over, sitting down. He knew that he could get a closer view without going in. Morningfog told Bouncekit that if he wanted to enter, then he would have to get Cloudstone's permission to go inside. He had mentally groaned at that fact.

Cloudstone was one of the few cats that Bouncekit wanted to communicate with. Unfortunately, Bouncekit hated to talk. He was splendidly fine with doing actions, yet would've preferred to be purged of speaking. He waited, tail brushing against the ground. He was asking himself rhetorical questions: Will he be okay with me? Will he tell me to get out? Can I learn about the herbs? Bouncekit was so excited.

He masked his excitement, when he saw the blur of white fur working. He stepped back, in an attempt to hide himself from Cloudstone. He didn't know how he'd react to the kit's interest.

'I need to get more cobwebs and get rid of the water hemlock growing outside camp. I'd hate for some kit to accidentally eat some.' The medicine cat was about to open his mouth to ask something of his apprentice, but his voice died in his throat. Right. Flintpaw had mysteriously disappeared not too many sunrises ago. He should've kept a closer eye on the tom. Cloudstone turned his head to check on something else when a little figure caught his eye. He paused for a moment, watching the kitten with confused, dark eyes.

"Do you... Do you want to come in?" This kit was far more mellow than the others he'd seen, who would rather tackle the freshkill than sit outside his den and watch. The white-tailed tom didn't usually let cats other than his patients into the den, after all, he had herbs that were dangerous if used in the wrong quantities.

Bouncekit nodded subtly. He didn't open his mouth to speak, but had been watching Cloudstone with undying interest. He took no steps forwards, however, he was deeply tempted to. The tom-kit sat patiently, not wanting to violate Cloudstone's privacy when not yet allowed formally inside. He knew that he shouldn't eat all of the herbs, and that was an essential. However, what he did not know was their uses, and that interested him.

He blinked. So he wasn't hallucinating this kitten sitting ever so patiently outside his den. "Alright, then. Just keep away from the nettles," Cloudstone flicked his tail towards a small pocket in the dirt that held many tiny, thorned seeds. "Or else your paws will numb." He let out a little purr. The tom watched the ginger tabby kit with interest, seeing what he'd do, while also trying to figure out who he was. He was sure he'd helped in his birth, so there weren't that many kits to pick from.

Ah! That's who he was. "You're Bouncekit, aren't you? I'm Cloudstone."

Bouncekit grinned. He felt so glad that the medicine cat recognized him. He nodded. He teetered into the den, making sure to watch out for these so-called 'nettles'. His fluffy golden fur edged the breadth of his body, making him seem more elegant than he actually was. He was almost certain that he had heard of nettles before, and crouched when he spotted the spiky seeds. His fur was like sand, his eyes like drops of honey. His paws sifted the ground, and he looked up at Cloudstone.

His pelt was already smoother than some of the other kits, and he liked the herbs in stock in this den much more than the battle moves kits impatiently practised. He walked further into the den, which was seemingly carved to perfection by man. He glanced around at the walls, inspecting every little detail. He speculated what some of the herbs were for, although he didn't entirely know yet.
