Birth of Aurastorm and Darkshadow's kits

Aurastorm began to lick ferociously as the kit squealed. "S-Shouldn't we take him inside the nursery?"

"Not yet Aura. Just keep licking the kit, there is another one coming."

The only answer from Darkshadow was another wail of pain, longing in her eyes as she stared at Brightfire for comfort.

Aurastorm continued to lick as fast as he could, rasping his tongue all over the kit's body.

Brightfire licked Dark's ear. "You're doing fine."

She wailed as a second jolt of pain shot through her, her claws digging into the ground.

"One more push Dark!" Bright encouraged, seeing the head of a kit.

Trying to gather all of her energy, she proceeded to push her second kit out.

Bright grabbed the kit and chewed of the umbilical cord. "Aura lemme see the other kit while you lick this one." Bright said passing the kit over.

With a gasp of relive, her head drooped to the ground. "Brightfire, Aurastorm, help me get the kits to the nursery. . ." She rasped, her voice groggy.

Aurastorm quickly picked up the initial kit and passed it to Brightfire in exchange for the second and began to vigorously lick it.

Brightfire passed the kit to Dark. "Would you like to see it before we go into the nursery and you go to sleep?"

She staggered to her paws, her legs wobbly with exhaustion. "Come on. . ." She said, picking up the small bundle of fur. "It will have to wait until we get to the nursery."

"I'll go get the poppy seeds. I'll meet you two there." Bright ran off.

Settling herself down on the soft moss, she pulled her kit close to her; licking his fur softly wit her tongue.
