Lionpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Today was a special day indeed. Her son's first apprentice, Lionpaw, would become a warrior today. They had a particularly close relationship, and Darkstar couldn't help but wonder whether or not she'd have more grandkits in her future. 'Oh, it's a little too early for that!' She chuckled to herself before clambering up on her meeting place. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!"

Lionpaw looked up from where she had been sitting near the apprentice den, relief flooding though her as she got to her paws. Words didn't describe how relieved she was to be finally becoming a warrior - Bramblefrost had been a good mentor for sure but...Well, he wasn't the nicest cat around. Her whiskers twitched as she moved forward toward Darkstar before taking a seat. Once she got her name, she was going to make it a mission of hers to teach Bramblefrost how to have some fun and not be a jerk all the time.

Her eyes glittered when the cat of the hour came into view. "Lionpaw. Please step forward." She was a little too excited for this. "I, Darkstar, Leader of Thunderclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Lionpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Lionpaw almost jumped to her paws as her name was said, but held herself back as she stood up and took the step forward. Her head was held high as she stared brightly at the leader. Her paws itched with exictement as she drank in every word. "I do," she said, her voice filled with the brim of energy. She had waited so long for this moment, she couldn't believe it was finally happening. She was going to be a warrior.

Blizzardshine smiled before speaking, Lionpaw’s excitement and energy reaching her “Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Lionpaw, from this moment you will be known as Lionspark. StarClan honors your loyalty and bravery, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan” With that, she leaped off the Highrock and rested her muzzle on the newly named warrior’s head to conclude the ceremony.
