A Magpie on a Leaf (Closed for Tinsley)

Leafstream had often seen Eagleheart up in Highpine so it was his time to do it. He sat on a lower branch waiting for Magpieclaw, his kit-hood crush, to come and join him. Today would be the day that he would ask her to be his mate.

Silly, silly little kit. She'd pulled out all the stops here. There was no way he could see through this disguise. And with Leafstream's gullibility, it had been so simple, too. Give him the cold shoulder at first, play hard to get, and show off her finesse. Gradually, let him warm up to her. Pretend to warm up to him. Make casual, playful banter, however much it pained her. Now, a head-over-heels romance. The tom was her ticket to the clan's trust, to shake off any of that suspicion. Information too - and information was power. And once she had what she needed, he'd be disposed of easily. Magpieclaw had seen Leafstream on the branches of Highpine from far off. What was he about to do now? He seemed to be waiting for someone - her? Time to put on her game face.
In an instant, the warrior's stagnant expression melted into a warm, yet hollow smile as she leaped up into the tree besides the tom. "What are you doing up here?" she questioned, her voice oozing with an artificial love.

"Waiting for you." Leafstream replied casually trying to keep calm as she leaped up. His green eyes gazed into hers, she was beautiful almost like a StarClan cat but alive! Although he could not sense the aroma of evil he still loved her dearly.
