Using skillz (Open)

Lightningstrike stretched as he slipped from the sleeping bodies in the den. Glancing around, he ate one of the mice on the pile and left the camp. He was going out hunting at an uncommon hour among SkyClan. When he reached the creek, dew cooled his paws. The scent of frogs and lizards were everywhere and it made him feel right at home. He purred uncharacteristically, the usual frown was gone. The broad-shouldered cat lapped at the cold water in the creek, the moon making it light up. Like most had in ShadowClan, he still enjoyed hunting at night more than during the day. As he began to creep around in the ambush-like way he learned in ShadowClan, his soundless steps allowed him to hear the steps of another cat approaching.

Cherrymist approached the clearing, hoping to check on the water level of the creek and maybe hunt some prey. She scented a ,ingled scent and she wrinkled her nose slightly, unable to sustain a small lump in her throat. It was the smell that Webtail and Lightningstrike carried, a scent of mingled Clan membership. A scent of mingled loyalty.

"What are you up to, Lightningstrike?" she asked, huffingnjer chest as she entered the clearing.

Lightningstrike lifted his head and flinched at the face he saw. Of all cats it had to be the one that hates me! he frowned and looked out at the creek, "Just hunting, I prefer the dark and I've never gone to this part of SkyClan before." he meowed, preparing for a mean-spirited reply. Maybe when SkyClan went into battle he'd prove himself, he'd have to wait for that.

Cherrymist frowned, sensingnthe personal tension between them. "Are you really so surprised I despise you like this. It is normal, you know. You have come to our clan to stay this season, and I am not supposed to see you as a clan mate. I am simply defending my clan from danger."

Lightningstrike narrowed his eyes, "I know it's normal, I just want to feel somewhat normal, okay?" he said sternly before taking a few steps closer. "You can hate me all you want, I'm used to it, I get it from everywhere I go. I don't need the explanation nor do I need your approval." he meowed, slipping through the ferns next to her to go further down the creek to where the land sloped gently into the water.

Cherrymist shrugged, trying to look arrogant and careless. She followed him by scent at a lazy pace, throwing her head backwards. "So... do yiu wsnt to hunt or practise fighting...?" she asked, suddenly looking more serious and almost stopping abruptly from her stroll.

Eagleheart slipped out of the shadows. He'd followed the pair of them out of camp. Thinking about Hazeflight kept him up at night usually, when he wasn't able to visit her. Part of the young warrior distrusted the former Shadowclan cat, part of him was intrigued. He had once lived with the cat that Eagleheart had taken as a mate. A lot of him was still against all cats outside of Skyclan, but Hazeflight was working to change that mentality.
"Cherrymist, Lighteningstrike," He had nodded to both of them as he came into view, but felt the need to greet them aloud as he remembered Cherrymist couldn't see him. Eagleheart wasn't a big fan of the she-cat because he believed it was a mistake that she was allowed to be a warrior. And right now her presence was an inconvenience. He wanted to talk to Lighteningstrike alone.

He sighed, "The clan needs food more than it needs claw marks, let's hunt. I think prey will be attracted to the water anyway." when Eagleheart arrived he dipped his head in greeting and kept his distance from Cherrymist. He'd hunt out of her way.
