Jaysong's eyes widened. "No! Take me instead! Leave her be!"

"Chivalrous RedClan," Violetgaze growled. He jumped onto the cat that had Icestorm.

Bluejay, Bluegaze and Lakeshore soon padded out of the shadows. "We knew something was going on." All three leapt onto the leader. The rogues were out numbered.

Jaysong wriggled free and slashed her capture. Jadeblaze and Swoopbird jumped in.

The cats scratched and hissed, writhing around. The rogues were out numbered by many now.

Leafsong, Rockslide, and Poppyseed joined the fight.

Jadeblaze hissed. "Leave us! We will be out of your fur by sunhigh!"

"Ye-yes..!" The cats scampered away, tails between leg, blood flowing.

Poppyseed licked his fur. "GreenClan, get enough prey for the kits, Elders, Moonsage, Mintpaw, Naturestar and queens." The cats scampered off. "If you CAN, then enough for the Warriors' and I to share."

"Sunhigh is soon. We must go now." Jadeblaze meowed. "Redclan is already ready to move."

"We must eat," Poppyseed told Jadeblaze. "We have many Elders and many kits."

Wispkit returned to Iceflower. "Mommy, the warriors are fighting a bunch of other cats... They're gone now though! Our clan is so strong! " He squeaked proudly.

"Don't you get it? If we eat,we will miss our chance to cross to Twolegplace. We will eat once we cross it." Jadeblaze growled.

Poppyseed growled. "We are feeding our weak cats."

Iceflower's tail curled protectivly over Wispkit. "Yes, yes very."


Icestorm caught a black bird, a mouse and a vole. She limped back to the rest stop.
