When you find A Broken Lilac [Closed]

Lilacpaw stood by the river. Her paw was digging into the wet mud as the water rushed through the fur that was on her paw. It felt peaceful. She remembered last time she was here, when Sleetpaw and Frogpaw both were fighting, play-fighting though. That was when they were kits of course, the small she-cat never really made a change to their play in arguing. Just a one moment stop and then back to fighting. But, today felt different. Not just peaceful. It felt as if something wrong were to happen.

Shatteredpaw wandered alongside the riverbank, flicking his tail side to side as he scanned his surroundings. He had felt off that day, and had finally decided to take some time off by the river. It's sound soothed him slightly, he wished it took better effect. Then he noticed a she-cat sitting at the edge of the water, he hadn't met her before, and decided this to be a good time to introduce himself.

Lilacpaw soon noticed a tom sitting alongside the banks too. She tiled her head, she did not recognize anything about him so this must be some cat she hadn't talked to yet.

Still staying along the bank, the paws of a white-and-ginger she-cat padded by the muddy cliff of the river. Lilacpaw had done this many times so she wouldn't be able to fall. She sat down and looked into the toms eyes. What should she start with? Will he like her? What is he interested in? Now was the time to start a random conversation and hope it goes well. She took a deep breath, the tom must already be freaked out by the long staring "I'm Lilacpaw...Of RiverClan" she mewed "I am an apprentice, I am almost a warrior and I am very loyal" she purred, lifting her paws up and down, up and down with a bright an cheerful smile.

Shatteredpaw cocked his head. Odd introduction, he thought, but shook it off and went to introduce himself. "I'm Shatteredpaw, and I just became an apprentice." He told her, "So I haven't done too much, pretty new to things." He added, flicking his ears and hoping she wouldn't make fun of him.

Lilacpaw snorted, honestly she though he was older than her. This was something new. She then began to laugh, she didn't quite know why but...She just did. She then stopped "Oh...I'm sorry. I've never met a tom who's younger than me" she smiles "Which means I'm smarter" she purred. The she-cat had no idea what was going to happen after what she had just said. After all, she didn't even know if this tom was sensitive or not.

The younger tom narrowed his eyes, flicking an ear in irritation. "That doesn't mean your smarter than me!" He hissed, keeping his fur from standing on end. He didn't favor this cats attitude, and hoped she'd get quite and stop bragging about her age.

Lilacpaw flicked her tail "Don't worry, I still have older siblings..." she mewed "I'm sorry..." she mewed. She looked into the waters "Nice day, isn't it?" she asked as she watched the small fish roam through the clear liquid. It was new looking at the water closely, she never had gotten the chance to go down to the river by herself before.

OOC: If you want to Shattered can still be angry and knock her in. Or he can forgive her and knock her in later on accident and then she thinks that they're both enemies?

Shatteredpaw sighed, better to let go of her words, he thought, and went to join her by the river side. He crouched down beside her, watching the small minnows swim by. "Yeah, it is." He said before trailing off.

Then he thought of catching one of the fish, they were too small to eat, but it wouldn't hurt to practice. He leaned closer, a fore paw dangling over the water. In a quick move he swiped his paw through the water, batting at a fish. Of course, the small, slippery creature got away, but what he didn't realize is that his empty paw had come up and smacked Lilacpaw right in the face.

Lilacpaw smiled "Nice ca-" before she could finish her sentence the small fish had hit her face and she was slapped into the waters of the river. She used her back legs and front paws to push herself over to the edge where she could hang on and slowly climb up. She lifted her front paws up and reached for the side of the banks. Her hind legs pushed her up, making the she-cat able to breathe with her face up above the water, it wasn't done yet though. She still had to get out of the water before drowning, Shatteredpaw wasn't even helping her! The white-and-ginger she-cat then pulled herself up, half of her body on the dry land, she pulled her hind legs up along with her soaking other half of body.

Once almost dry and done with shock Lilacpaw turned over to Shatteredpaw "Why didn't you help me!" she hissed, unsheathing her claws and digging them into the ground. Her gaze was no longer soft, it was hard and it was sharp.

In surprise, Shatteredpaw whipped around to hear a splash. To his dismay Lilacpaw had fell into the river, thankfully it wasn't too deep where they were. Yet, before he could get to his paws and help her, she was already hauling her soaked body from the swirling currents below.

He pinned his ears, and flinched when she spat at him. "I didn't notice!" He hissed back, now starting to get defensive over himself. "And when I was going to get up, you were already halfway out!"

Lilacpaw bared her teeth "Is it my fault I was trying to survive? All you did was put your paws only half way through the water!" she growled, did this tom want her to die in the river? How nice. She was now at the point where she hated this tom Shatteredpaw. It wasn't just unlucky that this happened.

Still taken slightly aback, Shatteredpaw pressed on. "Well, it's not my fault you've got terrible balance!" He spat, letting his fur lift from his spine. At first, he thought Lilacpaw would be a nice friend, but seeing her quick temper, he quickly brushed that thought away.

Lilacpaw pulled back her ears "Well, I hope to never run into you again..." she growled as she turned away stomping "Enemy..." she whispered, though she did make it loud enough and clear enough for Shatteredpaw to hear what she had said.

Shatteredpaw scoffed, "enemey? You think that's going to threaten me?" He called after her, but it was no use, she probably couldn't hear him.

Lilacpaw snorted "I tried and what about you, huh?" she whispered, he couldn't hear her could he? Who cared. He would still be deaf if she said it right in front of his face.
