Fracturedpaw's Warrior Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting!" Otterleap had just been named a warrior one sunrise ago, and already, it was time for another. Thank StarClan.

Fracturedpaw kept his cool as he approached the leaders perch, he suspected this gathering to be for him, and he couldn't be more overjoyed. He said down quietly at the edge of the gathering cats.

Smokeface heard Fishstar's call and couldn't have been prouder as he walked out and joined his apprentice. He himself had requested it for his now grown up Fracturedpaw. No, I need to get used to call him by his warrior name soon. he smiled to himself as he gave him a warm look.

"Fracturedpaw, please step forward," she beckoned as said cat came into view.

There it was, those words he had desired to hear ever since he was a kit. Fracturedpaw padded forward with undenying grace, attempting to hide his excitement with a grin, which in reality appeared pretty goofy. He slowed to a stop at the base of the leaders perch, looking up with blue-green eyes.

The Clan was really starting to balance out again. Hopefully, Fishstar would ever have to have three apprentices at once again. "I, Fishstar, leader of RiverClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in turn. Fracturedpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Fracturedpaw let out a small breath of air, realizing he was holding his breath. "I do," he said calmly, and really meaning it.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Fracturedpaw, from this day forth, you shall be known as Fracturedhawk. RiverClan honours your sincerity and skills." With that, Fishstar leapt down from the willow branch and joined the Clan in cheering the new warrior's name.
