Bramblepaw's Warrior Ceremony

Blizzardshine smiled as she leaped onto the Highrock once more. It was time to give another apprentice his warrior name, an specific event that she had learned to enjoy even during her days as an apprentice “All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!”.

Bramblepaw walked up to the Highrock, his eyes holding a look of pride. Although it was his warrior ceremony, and many cats partook in this event, the brown tabby still held himself as high and mighty because of this ceremony.

There was a bit of melancholy in his heart as he looked at Blizzardshine. His mother should have been up there, leading her clan like she had been for his entire life, but her recent disappearance had halted his plans of earning his name from Darkstar. Despite this, he puffed out his white chest and looked at the warrior with waiting green eyes.

Blizzardshine smiled warmly at the apprentice she was about to grant his warrior name to, she was aware that Darkstar was his mother and how much he probably would’ve liked it to get his name from her instead and just hoped to be able to let him remember this day as a great one “Bramblepaw, please, step forward”.

Bramblepaw took a step forward, his heart pounding fast and hard. He was ready.

Blizzardshine smiled, taking a deep breath “I, Blizzardshine, warrior of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn” Her gentle eyes soon landed on Bramblepaw's, happy to see him so eager to recieve his warrior name “Bramblepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?”.

Bramblepaw nodded. "I do."

Blizzardshine had to think for a couple of seconds to come up with the right words and name, and once she thought she had them she decided to continue “Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Bramblepaw, from this moment you will be known as Bramblefrost. StarClan honors your loyalty and great audacity, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan” With that, she leaped off the Highrock and rests her muzzle on the newly named warrior’s head to conclude the ceremony. She knew she had used audacity as a synonym for his great pride, but all the good things it also meant made her feel secure of her choice of words.

Bramblefrost, the new warrior, smiled at her words. Audacity. He felt his chest swell with pride and a sense of achievement at that word. How many warriors were lucky enough to be honoured with such a fine word. Not many, he imagined.

Letting the warrior rest her muzzle on top of his before standing and reveling in the cheers around him. He would make Darkstar proud.
