Sparrowkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Clouds were gathering far on the horizon, she could see it from up on the rock. The heat of the season was about to break, and she wanted to feel relieved, but she knew the dangers of the water and how the land wouldn't be as stable as it seemed afterwards. Leaffall storms were coming and she hoped they would be kind on the forest this season. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!"

Upon hearing Darkstar's words, Blacktwig promptly trotted out of the warriors' den. The air was currently snug and warm, yet that would change as of soon. He stretched his limbs, unsheathing his claws briefly. He looked up, padding up to the area just in front of Darkstar's regal, and rather intimidating shadow.

The tom was never clearly tired, and he always awaited each ceremony. He wondered who's this would be. He gave a wide yawn and sat down with a plop, yet his gaze remained attentive and youthful.

Sparrowkit walked out from the nursery, she looked behind her with her friend. She sat down and waited, guessing this was her ceremony.

Blacktwig spotted the knowing gleam in the kit's eyes. He sat back on his haunches and waited, looking Darkstar in the eye, without seeming too suspicious. The tom's sleek pelt shimmered in the sunlight, and his curious gaze was not ogling the dark-furred ThunderClan leader.

"Sparrowkit. You have reached the age of six moons and it is time that you became apprenticed. From now on until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Sparrowpaw. She is young, but I know that Coldbreeze will train you well." Darkstar hopped down, but not before glancing at the clouds again. They were closer. She should have a team reenforce the dens before the rain hit.

Sparrowpaw touched her nose to her mentors with a smile.
