A Cold Breeze in camp (OPEN)

A semi-fluffy white she cat with icy blue eyes padded into camp with a vole and a mouse in her mouth. Coldbreeze looked around before padding to the fresh kill pile and setting her catch down. She then padded over to a nice sunny spot where she watched the kits and apprentices and even a warrior or two playing. The newly appointed warrior smiled and closed her eyes for a few minuets before she heard some paw steps come over to her. She cracked one eyelid open and smiled. "Hello!"

Shadekit had been playing with a mossball when her eyes landed on the warrior. She looked at her curiously before padding iver. She couldn't help but smile when the warrior acknowledged her. "Hi!" She said excitedly and sat down in front of her.

Blacktwig trotted over, waving his tail at Coldbreeze. He remembered when the newly-appointed warrior first met him, and he has been quite close to his semi-fluffy aunt since. "Hello, Coldbreeze," he mewed curtly in greeting. His tone was far from harsh as his violet-blue gaze turned to Shadekit. He purred, remembering that the she-kit was Stormstrike's daughter. "And Shadekit, greetings."

Sparrowkit peaked through the nursery and bounced out as she looked at them. She figured it would help to make a few new friends especially since she hadn't gone outside of the nursery at all.

The small still newly born kit walked over and purred "Hey!" she mewed, they probably had no idea who she was and if this was her first time being out of the nursery or not.

Blacktwig flicked the tip of his tail in greeting to the small, dusky brown she-kit. He didn't yet know her name, and curiosity sparked inside of him.

Shadekit smiled at her sister before looking between the two warriors. She was still very young but couldn't wait to be a warrior like the older cats. "What did you all do today? Did you get to go hunting?" She asked the warriors excitedly her tail flicking back and forth and her eyes shining with curiousity.

Blacktwig nodded calmly, the tom's happiness guaranteed by the she-kit's lively tone. He imagined what it would be like to be an elder, dealing with these adorable, bubbly personalities. "Yes, I did. When you become an apprentice, you'll be able to, as well," Blacktwig explained. His eyes lit up with amusement as he added the last part to his sentence. "But, you'll have other duties too," he continued with a smirk.

Shadekit thought about being an apprentice. She knew ot would be much harder then what she imagined but all she could think about was being able to be out in the woods and serving her clan."Either way I am going to be the best apprentice I can! I can't wait to be an apprentice." She said but slouched slightly knowing she still had a good bit of time before her ceremony. "Were you excited?"

"Yes," Blacktwig admitted shyly. The tom was usually uncomfortable talking about his past, yet he would make an exception for the she-kit before him. He blinked his bright azure gaze, as Shadekit slouched slightly.

Sparrowkit watched as the two talked "Um, how is it like being a warrior, anything fun?" she asked, life was full of adventure and a warriors life was pretty fun - at least it sounded like it.

Shadekit grinned in agreement. "Yeah! Is it fun? It must be scary too though I guess." She said thoughtfully as she slightly rambled. No one could deny she was a chatter box and she watched everyone curiously as she chatted. "But I hope it's more fun then scary."

"Sometimes, but it requires patience," Blacktwig told the kits, the black tom crouching down slightly. "And I'll tell you a poem, too!" Blacktwig mewed cheerfully, the tom straightening up. "A wise old owl lived in an oak; the more he saw the less he spoke; the less he spoke the more he heard, why can't we all be more like that bird?" Blacktwig said, remembering hazily how the elders told kits tales.

"But what if the bird was afraid?" She asked quietly and looked down at her paws. "If he saw something that scared him then he would stop talking. That's a sad poem." She said and looked back up at him realizing that wasn't the meaning he was thinking of. She stumbled over words for a minute before finally getting out. "What was it supposed to mean?"

Blacktwig looked down at them coolly. "He was not afraid," Blacktwig explained, tail wrapped around his paws in thought. "He saw, and he knew he talked only when necessary." Blacktwig's voice was stern, yet it could not be interpreted as scolding. "He learned to listen more intently."
