Icekit's intro

A young, reddish brown kit walks out of the nursery yawning. He had a good nap but it's time to explore his home.

Blackpaw padded around, a fluff of reddish-brown fur catching his eye. The older apprentice turned his head to face the kit, sitting down gently. "Well, hello there! Welcome to the clan. I'm Blackpaw..." Blackpaw trailed off, losing the repetitive tone in his voice as it was replaced by a new one. "Do you want to learn a few things?" He asked, dropping down into a low crouch. His face was now level with the kit's.

Amberpaw came bouncing of towards Blackpaw, tackling him playfully, rolling them both on the ground before she jumped of him, smiling at the new kit.

"Oh, hey little one! I'm Amberpaw!" she presented herself, happy to he some one to talk to, since her brother had meanly left her behind since apprenticeship. She carefully slipped back at Blackpaw. "Have you see my brother lately?" she asked him, whispering carefully.

"Oh, Pinepaw?" Blackpaw replied, blue eyes rounded as the brown she-cat lay on top of him, vibrant blue orbs staring into her own, mild amber ones. "Yes, in fact, I have. He should be training right now." Blackpaw halted mid-sentence for a moment, then continued on. "Don't disturb him, I guess," Blackpaw added wearily.

Icepaw looked at the two apprentices in awe, He couldn't wait to be one of them. "Hi, I'm Icekit" the young cat barely squeaked, "I would love to learn some moves."

"Icekit, huh?" Blackpaw meowed. "I'm Blackpaw. I hope I become a warrior soon." Blackpaw twisted over, feign crushing Amberpaw beneath his weight. He had eased a bit in reality, to allow her to breathe. "I can show you," he offered, ignoring the fact that he had just demonstrated one.

Amberpaw squeaked playfully and surprised under Blackpaw's crush. "It won't hurt if I learn that move myself!" she laughed, still pinned down, then he expression changed. "Now you could, you know... get off me?" she asked him, staying serious for a while before she exploded again with laughter.

The kit nods at Blackpaw's offer, "I hope to become an Apprentice soon." he smiles at the apprentices play.

Blackpaw got off of Amberpaw, a glint of playfulness remaining in his blue gaze. "Sure," he chuckled.

Icepaw looks up at the apprentice with awe and a little jealousy, "yay!"

Amberpaw rolled over, her face level to her kits. "Yeah, mentor Blackpaw, teach us!" she giggled.

The kit stretches and stands up as tall as he can, "I'm ready! let's do this"

"Okay, so," the eldest apprentice began, feeling somewhat like a warrior. "Hunting is essential, so perhaps we do that first?" Blackpaw sat down, ears flicking with glee. "Of course, we can mix things up and learn fighting first if you want." Blackpaw mewed, attempting to go with the practical alternative. Though he was certain the kit would want to learn some fighting moves, too.

"While I'm impressed by your passion to teach..." A voice cut through the clearing before Blackpaw could demonstrate any moves. "There is a reason why kits aren't taught fighting moves early. If you're going to teach them anything, teach them how to pounce. Dreamleaf won't thank you for giving these kits broken bones." The former warrior warned from his place in the sun, the brown tom was warming himself as he finished up a magpie that he was having after a patrol. Dusk preferred to not interfere too much in clan life, viewing this all as temporary, but couldn't help chime in now. As a father himself, he had no interest in seeing kits injured.

"I can handle it!" The young kit meowed respectfully at the elder. "I'm going to be an apprentice soon anyways. I want to get a head start."
