Sootkit's Apprentice Ceremony

From her usual spot, Fishstar shouted, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting!"

Tawnystorm padded out of the warrior's den, taking her place amongst the gathering cats. Another apprentice ceremony, she supposed.

Sootkit calmly walked towards the leader as soon as he called for the meeting. He felt a bit uncomfortable surrounded by all the cats of the clan thanks to his aloof personality, but he knew that he would finally receive his apprentice name, so he was willing to endure it.

Willowbreeze padded out of the nursery towards the Willow branch after her little brother. It was weird to think of him as a little brother becuase of how much older she was. She sat down next to Tawnystorm and attempted a smile towards her before resting her forced happy gaze on Fishstar. Of course she was excited for her Sootkit to become an apprentice, but everything reminded her of Muddyfang and no matter how hard she tried she couldn't stop thinking about him and how she would never hear him stammer over his words again. So she forced a smile on her muzzle and waited for the ceremony to start.

"Sootkit, please step forward," Fishstar meowed as soon as she spotted the young cat of the hour.

Sootkit nodded respectfully and stepped forward, looking at Fishstar with wide eyes full of curiosity. Who was going to be his mentor?

"You are now six moons old, and are ready to be apprenticed. From this day forth, until you recieve your warrior name, you shall be known as Sootpaw. Your mentor shall be Halfmoon. I trust her to make you into a fine warrior." Fishstar leaped down from her perch.
