Crows Get Stuck In The Mud [Closed For Bloomy]

Muddyfang wondered Fourtrees, his tail flicking with the beat of his paws. He sat down and curled his tail around himself, waiting and looking around at the empty gathering place.

The memories of the battle still swirled through Crowpaw's mind. He remembered his father's terrified face as he ended his life. The black tom sat in the shadows, peering out at the clearing, when a figure emerged. The tom reeked of Shadowclan, and Crowpaw's mind raced to his father. Darkfrost was the child of a Shadowclan cat. Suddenly, the Shadowclan cat was replaced by the body of Crowpaw's father, and he felt the heat of the battle fall upon him once again. Darkfrost must die. Crowpaw rushed out of the shadows and tackled the stranger to the ground, teeth barred. His flaming amber eyes burned with rage and he was too blinded by anger to realize who he was attacking.

Muddyfang hissed as he was tackled to the ground, feeling teeth bite into his neck. He scrambled his hind legs unsheathing his claws and clawing at the face of Crowpaw, he growled, looking at the tom as blood dropped from the bite, probably leaving a scar if he lived this fight. He felt low on energy, thinking it was terrible to come here. He knew death had happened recently, Toadclaw had died, Willowbreeze's older brother. He frowned but stared at the RiverClan apprentice, his heart ponding and blood slowly stopping. He felt like the world around him was being sucked out and slowly his eyes sight grew gray, still living, somehow.

As Crowpaw bit into the Shadowclan cat's throat, he could feel Muddyfang's body weaken beneath him, just how his father's had. The jet black apprentice ripped away and finished off the warrior with a heavy blow from his large paw. Satisfaction simmered in his eyes as he watched the cat squirm for any bit of life that was left. "The Dark Forest lives," he whispered into Muddyfang's ear before leaping off of him and bolting away into the shadows. That felt good, real good.

Willowbreeze was on her way to tell Muddyfang that they were going to be parents again and her eyes were shimmering happily. She took her time and glances around at all the nature before finally pushing through the bushes and into the clearing of Fourtrees. First she smelled blood and the she smelled her mate and her heart started racing. She looked around the clearing before spotting his crumpled body on the ground and  a loud wail escape her mouth. She raced over to his body, attempting to hold in her sobs but failing horribly. She lay down next to him burying her head in his blood matted fur. "I.. I was c-coming to tell you.." she attempted to tell him before breaking down again. She sniffled "We're gonna be parents again.." she murmured quietly into his fur. She knew he couldn't hear her, but she didn't care. "Who did this to you?!" she yowled to the sky, eyes clouded with anger and grief. She sniffed again and froze. is that.. a RiverClan scent? she though in disbelief to herself. She tried to pinpoint who it was but she couldn't. She couldn't tell whose it was through her grief. She hissed in frustration and tears spilled over again. I will find whoever did this to you and they will pay for what they've done. she thought angrily, her blue gaze cold and hard. She knew she couldn't bring him to camp becuase he wasn't RiverClan, so she dragged him towards the edge of the clearing closest to RiverClan and dug a shallow grave. She placed him in it and covered him in rocks and leaves and a few flowers that she found. Her tears fell softly, one after the other, as she finished and she lay down next to his grave for a few more moments.

She must have fallen asleep becuase when she opened her eyes it was dark, so she slowly got to her paws and looked at his grave for what seemed like a while, but was probably only a few seconds, and turned to pad back to camp. Her legs were shaky from the overwhelming grief of losing her brother and her mate in such a short period of time and she thought she would collapse at any moment, but she eventually made it back to camp. She didn't talk or look at anyone as she padded to her nest. Her eyes were still clouded in grief as she curled up in her nest and fell into a fitful sleep.
